Memorial Bench ProgramGoing for a Walk

Many people have a favourite quiet place, a refuge, to which

they go when they feel stressed or need to think a bit by

themselves or just to get away from it all. Peaceful natural

areas, forest walks, views out to the river or the lake and lots of

lovely mature trees help people cope with the hustle and

bustle of modern business and family life. It’s all about quiet

and simple….

The Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation offers a

Memorial Bench Program in memory of departed loved ones

or friends. We can prepare and install a memorial bench with

a memorial plaque on your behalf in your choice of one of the

many conservation areas and parks around the valley…places

where people enjoy many satisfying and relaxing days during

their busy lives. The family can purchase a memorial bench

and have it installed at their favourite park as a long-lasting

tribute to a loved one. The gift of a memorial bench is also a

valuable public service to the many people who use the park

today and in the future.

The Memorial Bench Program gives you a visual memorial

of your loved one and gives the community a new place to sit,

relax and let the natural world calm our overloaded bodies

and minds. Meisel Woods, Foley Mountain, Beryl Gaffney

Park, Chapman Mills Conservation Area…we relax just

thinking about these quiet, simple places. And if you had your

own family bench to look forward to?

Making a gift of a memorial bench is simple too. Just fill

out the information on this card, fax it in or call us and we’ll

take it from there. Thank you for considering a gift of a

memorial bench…we appreciate it.
