AmCham Shanghai’s 20 industry-specific Committees are intrinsic to the Chamber’s mission of promoting a healthy business
environment for American companies operating in China. From small-scale roundtables to cross-industry conferences,

U.S. CORPORATE VISA PROGRAM (CVP)
AmCham’s CVP facilitates U.S. visas for participating
Corporate Member companies’ direct employees and their
family members. In cooperation with the U.S. Consulate
General Shanghai, the program provides simplified document
review, expedited visa appointment interviews, access to all
U.S. non-immigration visa types, and an excellent success

CEO ADVISORY SERIES
The CEO Advisory Series is offered to select CXOs of leading enterprises in China. Every quarter our programming provides
participants with expert perspectives on China’s economy and business trends. Senior company officers can exchange ideas
and experiences with peers in a focused environment. The program includes a monthly newsletter, talk write-ups, and CXO
members can choose to attend up to 20 curated programs per year. (Additional fees apply for this program.)
TRADE & INVESTMENT CENTER (TIC)
The TIC is a two-way hub of resources and referrals for U.S. companies interested in the China market and a gateway to the
United States for Chinese companies. The TIC platform is intended for U.S. companies of all sizes that are either operating in
or planning to enter the China market, as well as Chinese companies planning an expansion to the U.S. market. The TIC
accomplishes its mission through the use of three platforms: its physical center, its virtual center, and TIC Events.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)
Our CSR activities provide member companies with the latest information on
CSR trends and access to influential CSR organizations. CSR is broadly defined
as the concept that corporations should commit to ethical, responsible
business practices and give back to the community where they operate.
AmCham Shanghai’s CSR program includes the Business Council for
Sustainability, CSR Conference and Awards, and the annual Charity Gala.
Since 2002, AmCham Shanghai’s CSR initiatives have lead to nearly 12 million
RMB being donated to local charities.

BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The AmCham Shanghai Board of Governors provides general oversight and strategic direction of the Chamber’s activities. The 11
Governors are elected by voting members to staggered two-year terms. The Board has four officers: a Chair, two Vice Chairs and
a Treasurer. The Chair serves a two-year term but other officers serve one-year terms. Two Honorary Governors are also
appointed yearly from the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai.
