Masterpiece Contemporary: Worricker Sundays, November 9 & 16, 9 p.m. Barter Theatre: Trading Ham for Hamlet This documentary from Blue Ridge PBS tells the fascinating story of the legendary Barter Theatre, in Abingdon, Virginia. With historic footage, photographs and interviews with staff and well-known alumni, the film charts the theater’s founding in 1933 and goes behind the scenes to discover how a Barter Theatre production comes to life. Sunday, November 16, at 4 p.m. Masterpiece Contemporary: Worricker Bill Nighy (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) reprises his role as MI5 spy Johnny Worricker, first seen in 2011’s acclaimed Page Eight. In “Turks & Caicos,” Worricker has just left his job at MI5 and escaped to the distant islands, but an order from the CIA puts him back to work. In “Salting the Battlefield,” Johnny and Margot (Helena Bonham Carter) manage to stay ahead of an international dragnet all across Europe. British Prime Minister Alec Beasley (Ralph Fiennes) and old MI5 colleague Jill Tankard (Jt.udy Davis) desperately want Johnny back—but for different reasons. The cast also includes Christopher Walken and Winona Ryder. Sundays, November 9 & 16, at 9 p.m. Navy Seals: Their Untold Story Premiering on Veterans Day, this program recounts the ticking-clock missions of the “Commandoes of the Deep” through firsthand accounts, never-before-seen footage, home movies and personal mementos. Admirals, master chiefs, clandestine operators, demolitioneers and snipers reveal how U.S. Navy SEALs morphed into the world’s most admired commandoes.
