Hello and welcome to flaming June and to the latest edition of your favourite magazine! It certainly looks like June is going to be a busy month. Celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee will be taking place all over the UK and at various locations across our area of the Costa Blanca from the beginning of June through to Tuesday 5th. The Mellow Magazine send their best wishes to Her Majesty.Back in 1977, the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee, Malcolm McLaren & The Sex Pistols had their hit record 'God Save The Queen' banned by the BBC. Vince Tracey's article this month takes a look back at Malcolm McLaren. On June 17th there is a very special fundraising day taking place at Bonalba Bowls Club, Mutxamel, in aid of the Lucas Koch Foundation. All monies raised will go towards the respite centre being built at San Juan Hospital to aid the lives of young disabled people and their families. There are some fantastic raffle prizes on offer too! Please, please, go along and support this very worthy cause.Late in June we have the fiestas of San Juan - Noche de San Juan is on the eve of the 23rd and there are also the Hogueras taking place in Alicante. it's well worth a trip around the city to see the various display of statues prior to the burning of them on the final night of the fiestas! The firework displays in Alicante are magnificent. Special late trams will be laid on throughout the fiestas so there are no excuses for missing out on this wonderful event. On the 1st of July there will be another very special fundraising day - it will be the 3rd Bec's Charity Bash at The Bull/El Toro, El Campello where all funds raised will benefit local people with cancer and their families. This is yet another extremely worthy charity and I hope you can go along and support this day....and if you fancy taking part in the medieval stocks....well, let us know and we will pass your details on....If you are still looking for something to do to fill in the small gaps between events, why not take a trip to the newest market in the area - Mercado El Rinconet is held at Villafranqueza, just off exit 10 of the motorway. The market has arts, crafts, local produce, antiques and also a rastro. There is also a bar on the terrace where you can enjoy a cool drink, eat pizza, bbq, roast chicken etc. or maybe you'd prefer to dine in the restaurant. Whatever you fancy, it is certainly worth a visit. It is open every Saturday, Sunday and fiesta days from 10am until 3pm.That's all from me for this month. Enjoy the sunshine but be careful not to burn, and remember to drink plenty of fluids in the heat of summer.

Alexander Antoniou is a 6 year old boy born to a Cypriot father, Andreas Antoniou and a British mother, Sarah Louise Antoniou. This is a long and complicated story but the basic facts are as follows:June 2009 – Sarah (who has lived in Cyprus for 22 years) abducted Alex and she went illegally through to the north of Cyprus, then on to Turkey and then to the U.K. At the time of the removal there were on going proceedings in the Courts in Cyprus and Alex was on the Stop List!Following Child Abduction hearings at London’s High Court under the terms of the Hague Convention it was declared that Sarah return to Cyprus with Alex. She was arrested for trying

to escape with Alex from agents overseeing her departure from Stansted back to Cyprus and the following day an extraordinary court hearing removed Alex from his mother and granted his father a Collection Order. Sarah returned a few days later to Cyprus and on the advice of Welfare officers Andreas allowed his son to continue living with his mother.November 2010 - Sarah was remanded to prison in Nicosia on charges of ‘Conspiracy to aid and abet to commit murder against her husband Andreas Antoniou’. Alex was taken to live with his father who then enrolled Alex in school, something his mother had not done. Sarah’s mother convinced her MP Mr. Stuart Agnew that justice was not being done and so between Mr. Agnew and the Attorney General in Cyprus the charges were reduced to ‘Conspiracy to aid and abet with intent to harm’ and Sarah was released from prison in February 2011 on a strict bail. Sarah was given visitation rights to her son, and Alex’s father was given custody. Only a few weeks after being released, Sarah tried to take Alex from his school. When police were called she ran away.

International Missing Children

In the last magazine I informed you of the International Missing Children's Day which was held on May 25th. Parents the world over fear their child being abducted - we read and hear so many cases in the media - Ben Needham, Madeleine McCann etc. but most people are unaware that the majority of child abductions are carried out by one of the childs' parents. Over the coming months I will be bringing you brief details of some of the current cases of children who have been abducted by parents. And please be aware - child abduction is child abuse!

If you are affected by the issue of child abduction and require advice please make contact with http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/when-things-go-wrong/child-abductionYou can also contact them by telephone - the number is (+44) (0)20 7008 1500.or with www.reunite.org and also by telephone on (+44) (0)1162 555 345

On May 10th 2011 Sarah signed at the Police Station, attended a court case at 10.30am and later picked Alex up from school at 1pm for her visitation hours. By 6pm she had not returned and an alert was issued by the police. It was later confirmed that Sarah had illegally crossed the border with Alex to the Northern, Turkish side of the island where she is not only protected from Cypriot law but also European Law too! June 20th 2011 - An EAW (European Arrest Warrant) is issued by INTERPOL for Sarah Louise Antoniou. Sarah has skipped bail, removed her child for a second time and also obtained British Passports (the originals had been seized and are being held by the Cypriot Courts).Andreas now awaits the arrest by INTERPOL of Sarah and the long awaited return of his much loved son. How long will that take and will she have fled to another location before that happens?Every slow moving Government Agency that assumes a child will be okay because they are with their father or mother is putting those children in danger. Sarah, as an adult, has chosen her path to become a criminal and a defaulter. Alexander Antoniou is just an innocent child that has been dragged by his mother into this crazy situation and he is being taught to hide and have fears which may cause psychological problems for the rest of his life!Let us not forget that parental abductions are a crime and a human rights issue!Read the full story on (a) www.facebook.com/pages/Help-find-alex-antoniou/210367882319448 and (b) www.foreversearching.com/2011/12/alexander-antoniou

At the time of the Coronation my mother was nine years of age and read a monthly children's magazine called Playways, which I still have in my possession today. Here are printed a few pictures from the Sprecial Coronation Edition of Playways from the month of June1953.

June 2nd marks the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne following the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952. The only other United Kingdom monarch to celebrate sixty years of reign was Queen Victoria in 1897.

2012Spanish Wills And Inheritance Tax

Many ex-pats are under the impression that only having a UK Will is sufficient and will cover their assets in Spain after their death. Up to a point, this is true. However, it is more paperwork and can be very expensive for those left behind than if a Spanish Will had been made prior to death. Our advice has always been that anyone owning assets in Spain - ie property, bank accounts, vehicles etc is recommended to make a Will in Spain which should be limited to assets, rights and shares situated in Spanish Territory. Making a Spanish Will avoids time consuming and costly expenses to your heirs at a time in life when they will appreciate less things to deal with.A Spanish Will is signed before the Notary and the original Will is retained at the Notary’s Office. An official copy “Copia Simple” is given on the day of signing and a notification is sent to the Ministry of Justice where the date, town and name of the Notary is recorded. After death a Certificate must be requested from the Ministry of Justice which will state all the details of the Last Will and Testament including the details of the Notary where the original is retained. Once the Certificate is issued then the Inheritors can proceed with the acceptance of the Inheritance. Inheritance, also means in the majority of cases the obligation to pay “Spanish Inheritance Tax”. The amount of Tax to be paid will vary depending on the value of the assets, the relationship of the beneficiaries to the deceased and where the inheritors are resident for tax purposes. We frequently come across many who genuinely believe they are Spanish Tax Residents. Those that have been here for years, had the “old” resident permit and now have the new form etc … Those that have never filed an income tax return will not be recognised by the tax office and will not be registered as tax residents.

A customer called me this week and asked me if it was possible to take off the Engine Warning Light by disconnecting the battery.

On the first computer controlled engines from years ago, yes it was possible but only after the fault had been rectified. If the fault is not rectified the computer will pick up the same fault and bring the light on again. On modern cars things have changed, for one if you disconnect the battery not only will you loose the radio code but on re connection the light will come on again telling you that the battery has been disconnected. This will also require a drive cycle to be performed. What is a drive cycle?

This can vary from car to car but basically a drive cycle is a variation of different driving sequences e.g Drive the car from cold at 30 mph in third gear for 10 minutes without pressing the brakes then increase to 40 mph for 10 minutes without pressing the brakes. These cycles will reset the computers running programme to allow the car to run as it should. Normally if these cycles are not completed the car may run rough, stall, poor acceleration and high fuel consumption and of course the light will come on again.

Still on the problem of Engine Warning Lights a customer brought his car to me saying that the engine light had come on but then went off, but now the car was running rough. He had taken it to a garage who told him because it did not have a 16 pin diagnostic plug they were unable to perform a diagnostic check. A lot of vehicles such as pre 2000 cars did not have 16 pin plugs installed but had a 2 pin connector available to perform a diagnostic check. This was done by bridging the connector which allowed the Engine light to flash a certain number of times, thus producing a numbered code by the number of flashes counted, this code could then be identified on a code list and the problem identified.

If the warning light stays on will it damage the engine?

It depends on the fault, eg all cars now are fuel injected so they spray more fuel into each cylinder far more than the conventional carburettor, which means that if you have a misfire or a plug not firing correctly the amount of unburnt fuel can wash the oil off the cylinder wall thus resulting in a seizure of that cylinder, therefore requiring an engine rebuild. My advice is if the light comes on get it checked out ASAP, this check should be done using Diagnostic Equipment and only takes 5 minutes and should not cost more than 30€.

Last month we looked at the memorable one-liners of witty ladies now it’s the turn ofthe boys. The humour of such literary figures as Oscar Wilde and Mark Twain can still make us smile so here are a few examples of their caustic wit, along with some amusing lines from the stars of stage and screen. I can’t say I agree with everything they say but it’s still very funny.

Making ChangesAre you afraid of Change in your life?

Try seeing change in your life from a different point of view. Life is a process of growing, from the cradle to the grave, and we cannot avoid change, whether it is in our lives or the world around us, or even the changes that take place within us. Change is inevitable, and some of us grow and expand, and appreciate life more because of it.

Others sometimes resent change and seem to find it difficult to deal with.

From a negative situation like losing a loved one, that kind of change can never be experienced without feeling pain, and that kind of change in our lives may not be what we planned for or expected, but with the right attitude we can even find a way to survive those sad situations. Realise that the things we have cherished are not altogether lost, because having possessed things we love, and people we love, nothing can EVER take them away from us in our hearts. They will always be with us in our memory.

Even at our worst and lowest point invariably a new kind of happiness can open out if we let it, and when we least expect it. Amazing isn’t it, that life can hold more happiness in store if we keep a firmly held belief in all things positive? Losing the full use of our limbs may well affect us as we get older, but we are in control of how we react to that kind of change. There are the most wonderful people who have serious physical problems who carry on with their attitude to life as if nothing at all is wrong, or even different. How are they able to do that if we cannot do it too? I have gone through my life admiring those who set a great example to us all as far as being able to deal with life’s set backs. I have people in mind like that as I write.

Many people live on their own, either due to circumstances or choice, and they can often be an inspiration if they choose to like themselves enough to value the quality of their own life, whatever else has gone on around them. There is a definite talent in not allowing things to destroy us, and to appreciate all the things that we could so often take for granted. Life’s experiences serve to prove to us that we have hidden resources which may have been so far unused in our lives, and the courage and determination we exercise are both a discovery and an outlet….proving what kind of persons we really are.

Why not be the kind of person you want to admire, look up to and respect? It is never too late to make the changes needed….we learn from the cradle to the grave and we can all learn how!

Take Care…Till the next time!!

Love The Skin You're In!TIME TO HYDRATEIt is important for the skin to always drink your 2 litres of water daily, but now the sun is shining and the temperature is rising it is even more important to be conscious of your water consumption.

Water is essential for the body to detox and is vital for the health of the skin. Too little fluid can cause poor elimination of wastes in the body and can lead to constipation, infections and a spotty chin!

Just a reduction of 2 percent of extra cellular water can decrease our energy levels by one-fifth and impair every bodily function.

When we are born the body is made up of 90% water but as we reach adulthood the levels drops to about 60%. As we age cells in the body begin to die and suffocate in their own waste products and the lymph system, the system that mops up and cleans our system, becomes overloaded. Water is needed to dilute the debris so they can be flushed from the body. It plays an important part in encouraging cell renewal so reducing the effects of wrinkling and ageing.

Excessive amounts of coffee and tea overtax the liver and kidneys and rob the body of minerals, but 2 or 3 cups of a good quality coffee or tea can be beneficial, so try to limit tea and coffee and up the water and fruit or herbal teas for a more youthful and dewy skin.

Football Crazy

So, after 38 games the title came down to 5 minutes of injury time. A crazy end to a crazy season. Who would have thought that Joey Barton would

have such a say in deciding the title? His little skirmish with Carlos Tevez lead to the 5 minutes of added time. I'm sure you City fans will have Barton

on your Christmas card list this year. United's 4 - 4 draw at home to Everton followed by the narrow defeat away to Wigan were the reason City won the league in the end. I think it's quite

obvious to United fans where their problem lies. If Rooney does not score then United are in trouble. Compare both teams strike forces. Rooney, Wellbeck, Hernandez, Berbatov and Owen against Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and that loony Italian bloke! Only Rooney would get into City's starting 11. No doubt Alex Ferguson will do his best to address the problem in the close season and sign a second striker to take the pressure off Rooney. There is a certain Dutchman in North London entering the final year of his contract......

This article is being written before the Champions League final in Germany. I am torn between wanting Spurs, who finished fourth, to qualify for next seasons competition but also wanting Chelsea to beat Bayern in Munich. Chelsea's superb performances over two legs against Barcelona has given them the chance to win the trophy that their owner Roman Abramanich really desires and also qualify for next season's premier event. Spurs have proved over the course of the season that they finished fourth on merit. It is a shame both teams cant go through.

Thankfully there is only a 3 week gap before football starts again. The Euro's are almost upon us and its all change with new manager Roy Hodgeson taking over. The decision to choose Hodgeson over Harry Redknapp must surely have been a financial one. Roy was free and will cost less in wages than Redknapp, who, it seems, is destined to become this generation's Brian Clough.

England will be without Wayne Rooney for the first two games of the tournement. France on the 11th June and Sweden on the 15th are the games he will miss. If we can get a draw from both games and beat Ukraine we will be able to qualify for round 2. The likelyhood is we will then meet Spain. I backed Spain in the last 2 major championships but I wont be doing so this time. The loss of David Villa and Carlos Puyol has weakened Spain and I dont see them getting

past the semi final at best. France's team look too young. England has a new man in charge, so I will be backing either Germany or Holland. For once the Dutch seem to have a happy, settled squad and the firepower of Van Persie, Robben, Huntelaar and Van De Vart could well see them lift their first ever Euro.

A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?' Morris replied, 'Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.''The doctor said, 'I didn't say that.. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur; be careful.'

Said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the machine."I just need one copy."

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose in to other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extra curricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence. She made a mistake, however, when she accused Elmer, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon. She emphatically told Elmer (and several others) that everyone seeing it there would know exactly what he was doing!

Elmer, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away. He didn't explain, defend, or deny... he said nothing.Later that evening, Elmer quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house... walked home... and left it there all night. You gotta love Elmer!

Mediterranean Gardens by Roald Goorman

The Hibiscus belongs to the Mallow family (Malvaceae). There are several hundreds of species of hibiscus occurring worldwide in warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions.

The best known Hibiscus is probably Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, gracing many gardens on the Costa with their showy flowers, starting mid-spring and

lasting till the first cold in November. Of this species, due to their popularity, hundreds or even thousands of cultivars have been bred, in all colours imaginable, except blue, but getting close with blueish purples and mauves.

Most cultivars are hybrids of the rosa sinensis with Hawaiian or Fijian (from the Fiji islands) species. Hawaiian cultivars are the most exotic with dazzling colours and impossible mixes of colours in one flower. But they are more cold sensitive than the Fijian hybrids.

Select Hawaiians if you like cuddling plants and can offer them some sheltered spot against cold. Select the Fijians or the purebred rosa sinensis if you want a more carefree and hardy plant.

One particular very exotic looking variety is H. rosa-sinensis “Psyche” a deep red flowering hibiscus with an extremely long pistil. ( protruding female reproductory part of the flower)

Apart from this versatile species there are more Hibiscus species worth considering for the garden. Especially if you live more inland and experience regular frost in winter.

So if you yearn for that exotic hibiscus but can’t seem to get them growing, consider the following Hibiscus species:

Hibiscus syriacus: Rose of Sharon, this hardy shrub that can grow into a small tree over the years is laden with bloom from June to July/August. Flowers are purple or white with cultivars showing intermediate colours or mixes of both. This tree is drought resistant once settled but can do with some extra watering during the hot summer. In fall it does lose its leaves and is completely frost hardy in any area of Spain.

Hibiscus moscheutos, another very flowery Hibiscus that withstands cold without problem. The large exotic flowers in summer belie its cold resistance to -20 degrees! This plant flowers from early summer till the first cold and then dies back only to return again in the next spring with great vigour.

Not really a Hibiscus but very closely related Alyogyne huegeli hails from Australia and is graced with large blueish mauve flowers from early spring till autumn.

Prune it back when it gets leggy, even when it still bears flowers, the plant will become more bushy and return with even more flowers. This very drought tolerant and undemanding shrub is a must have for any hibiscus lover!

Most Hibiscus species are undemanding and send forth bloom with only a bit of extra water during the hot summer months, however here some tips to obtain really healthy, leafy and flowery shrubs to make them the

envy of the neighbourhood:-Plant in rich moist soil, if yours is poor, hardbaked clay or rocky soil, prepare the planting site with copious amounts of manure, compost and potting soil.-Provide good drainage, these plants like being watered, but not being waterlogged. Plant on higher ground if your garden soil is clayish.-Feed regularly with general purpose slow release fertiliser

(granular) in early spring till August.-Water regularly during the hot months, but best to water a long time, 30minutes at long intervals (2-3 days) than a short time ,5 minutes at short intervals 12h-1 d)-When they become leggy prune hard back in late winter.

Vince Tracy’s Music Ramblings

Originally from Birkenhead, Vince began work at a local hospital radio station before joining BBC Radio Merseyside. Greatly influenced by Radio Caroline as well as great entertainers like Morecambe & Wise/Tommy Cooper/The Two Ronnies/DJs such as Jimmy Young/Steve Wright/Jimmy Saville, Vince has chatted with hundreds of celebrities - musicians/actors/sports stars/politicians. His website lists a large number of them. To listen to his daily blog/podcasts go to http://www.vincetracy.com/blog9

I wonder what it is that makes groups want to shock us? Is it the group or is their management wanting extra notoriety? The Sex Pistols were at the forefront of the Punk groups who won their acclaim by abusing their fans. In 1977, The BBC announced a ban on the new Sex Pistols single ‘God Save The Queen’ saying it is, “in gross bad taste”. From a musician’s point of view it was a dreadful row but there will be many who might disagree with my observation if you go by the charts in the UK at the time the single was released. The IBA who look after the Independent side of the business issued a warning to all radio stations saying that playing the single would be in breach of Section 4:1:A of the Broadcasting act. Personally, I would never have touched any of their music with a barge pole but the single reached No.2 on the UK chart. My suspicion is that their manager Malcolm Mclaren had bought most of the copies as had Brian Epstein the Beatles manager to get the Beatles in the charts. McLaren had attended art colleges through the 1960s, being expelled from several before leaving education entirely in 1971. I doubt if the Sex Pistol were totally aware he had been attracted to the Situationist movement, particularly King Mob, which promoted absurdist and provocative actions as a way of enacting social change. In 1968 McLaren had tried unsuccessfully to travel to Paris to take part in the demonstrations there. Instead he took part in a student occupation of Croydon Art School. It is written that McLaren would later adopt the movement’s ideas into his promotion for the various pop and rock groups with whom he was soon to involve himself. In 1971, McLaren and his girlfriend, the designer Vivienne Westwood, opened a London clothing shop called Let It Rock, on Kings Road. The shop sold Teddy Boy clothes and McLaren and Westwood also designed clothing for theatrical and cinematic productions such as That’ll Be The Day and Mahler. Let It Rock proved a success but McLaren grew disillusioned with the style of shop owing to problems with the Teddy Boys who were the shop’s main customers. In 1975, McLaren designed red patent leather costumes for the New York Dolls and used a Soviet-style hammer and sickle motif for their stage show, as a provocative means of promoting them.In May 1977, the Sex Pistols released “God Save the Queen” during the week of Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee. McLaren organised a boat trip down the Thames where the Sex Pistols would perform their music outside the Houses of Parliament. The boat was raided by the police and McLaren was arrested, thus achieving his goal to obtain publicity. The band released their album Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols in October 1977 and played their last UK gig before embarking upon a US tour in January 1978. During his time managing the band McLaren was accused by band members (most notably by John Lydon) of mismanaging them and refusing to pay them when they asked him for money. McLaren stated that he had planned out the entire path of the Sex Pistols, and in the film The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle he set this plan out. McLaren kept the Sex Pistols’ contract rights until Lydon took him to court in the 1980s to win the rights and unpaid revenues from McLaren. Lydon won and gained complete control from McLaren in 1987. McLaren and Lydon refused to speak to each other after the band split. In the 2000 film The Filth and the Fury the surviving members of the Sex Pistols put their version of events on film.

Boquerones Rebozados

Hello everyone,

this month I have a lovely fish recipe for you which I hope you will enjoy and it is followed by a few tips on buying and storing fish. Have a wonderful summer!

Tips

Peel and then chop the tomatoes.Chop the onion and garlic and fry for a few minutes in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil until the onion is transparent.Add the white wine and cook for about 3 minutes.Add the tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper and cook slowly for 15 minutes before putting to one side.Once the boquerones have been cleaned and the head and bones removed wash and then dry a little and add salt.Cover with flour and beaten egg and then fry for 2 or 3 minutes in a frying pan with plenty of oil.Place on a piece of kitchen paper to absorb any excess oil before serving straight away with the tomato sauce you prepared earlier.

When buying fresh whole fish:

Choose fish with clear bulging eyes and very black pupils; firm lustrous skin and tight scales; bright red gills and a pleasant sea smell.

To store fresh fish:

Quickly and gently rinse fish under cold water tap.Place fish into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Here's a tip to freeze fresh fish:

Clean fish, wrap carefully in foil, avoiding piercing foil and then place into a freezer bag and remove air.Freeze white fish for up to 6 months, but only 3 months for oily fish.

By Patricia MahonThe Symbology Of Illnesses

In previous issues of Mellow magazine I explained how longstanding negative thought-patterns produce illnesses. Because the human body is a perfect system of symbology, the ailing body part or organ can indicate to us the underlying psychological problem. In the March issue I covered illnesses in alphabetical order from A to C; in the April issue, from D to G; in the May issue, from H to O. In this issue of the magazine I complete the list from P onwards.

Pancreas Represents the sweetness of life. Problems: Anger because life appears to have lost its sweetness.Parkinson’s Disease Intense fear and anxiety through feeling one is losing control. PMS Not feeling in charge of one’s life as a woman. Rejection of one’s femininity through outside influences.Prostate The male principle. Problems: Mental fears. Sexual pressure or guilt. Psoriasis Lack of love and approval of the self. Fear of being hurt. Pyorrhea Anger over inability to make a decision.Rheumatism Feeling restricted in creating one’s own life causing resentment and victimhood.Rheumatoid Arthritis Lack of internal authority leading to resentment of external authority.Sciatica Financial fears, fear of the future.Shingles Fear, tension, over-sensitivity. A feeling of “What will happen next?”Sinus Problems Annoyance at someone close. Feeling they are a nuisance and irritatingSlipped Disc Feeling one’s foundation in life has collapsed. Feeling undermined and indecisive.Sore Throat Angry words held in through feeling unable to express oneself.Spine Represents backbone, courage, strength of character, self-discipline. Spinal Problems Lack of any of above attributes caused by fear, lack of trust, shock, trauma, harshness.Spleen Addiction, obsession.Sprain Resistance to moving forward in a certain direction in life. Stiffness Unyielding, inflexible thinking.Stomach Problems Inability to digest new ideas and events through fear and anxiety.Stroke Paralysing fear over perceived oncoming changes over which one appears to have no control.Stuttering Inability to speak up for oneself through being prevented self-expression.Sty Anger at what one sees in another.Teeth Represent analysis leading to decisions. Problems: Unable to analyse and come to decisions.Testicles Represent masculinity. Problems: One’s masculinity under threat. Guilt. Remorse. Shame.Thrush Mistrust in a relationship. Thyroid Problems Humiliated and unable to express one’s feelings.Tinnitus Resistance to hearing one’s inner voice or the voice of a wise counsellor.Tonsillitis Anger over stifled emotions, self-expression and creativity. Tumours Shocks to the system. Lodged old hurts and wounds. Severe remorse. Ulcers Fear. Anger. Self-loathing. Something eating away at one. Urinary Infections Angry, disgruntled, dissatisfied with a member of the opposite sex, sometimes a sexual partner.

Vaginitis Anger at a sexual partner. Sexual guilt.Varicose Veins Unhappy in a situation. Overburdened. Discouraged.Viral Infection Joy in life temporarily gone. Vertigo Ungrounded scattered thinking through feeling the ‘sand shifting’ beneath one.

I do hope you have gained some insight into how our deep-seated negative thoughts and beliefs affect us emotionally and mentally and, if left unattended and unhealed, eventually express themselves physically through illness and disease. The illnesses and their symbology in the 2012 issues of Mellow magazine from February through to this June issue are by necessity brief and are meant only as guidelines, not substitutes for clinical or medical assistance.

Why worry? There are only two things to worry about. You are either sick, or you are well.If you're well, there's nothing to worry about. If you're sick, there are only two things to worry about. You'll either get well or you'll die.If you get well, there's nothing to worry about. If you die, there are only two things to worry about. You'll either go to heaven, or you won't.If you go to heaven, there's nothing to worry about. But if you don't, you'll be so busy shaking hands with friends, you won't have time to worry!
