COURSE TITLE : WEB PROGRAMMING 1
COURSE CREDIT : 3 Units - 90 HOURS (54 hours LEC, 36 hours LAB) COURSE DESCRIPTION : The course is designed as an introduction to the use of the computer in an interactive environment. It provides topics on different types of
software: application software and programming languages – from machine language to web programming language. The course covers detailed information and application on Web programming concepts using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) as a medium.
PRE-REQUISITE : Computer 1 – Introduction to Computer and DOS GENERAL OBJECTIVES : After completing the course, the student must be able to:
1. Describe several major trends occurring in computer software; 2. Give examples of several major types of applications and computer software; 3. Describes the main uses of programming languages particularly Web-oriented programming; 4. Demonstrate proficient use of computer software and the World Wide Web; and 5. Provide the students with basic know-how on Web programming and apply them in their respective fields.
