• The first step for a successful event is choosing and securing your date. In order

to verify availability for a specific date and venue you should fill out the

information form and send it by email to Mrs. Florencio

• Once we have made a tentative booking for your wedding (taking into

consideration your preference date, type of ceremony, package and location)

we would then require a deposit of 35% on your chosen package in order to fully

confirm the date.

• As soon as we receive the corresponding amount we will send you a written

confirmation for your date. If you have opted for our Free Meliá Wedding

Package you should send us the confirmation of your reservation with 5 or more

nights in a higher category room (The Level), in order to confirm the free

wedding package.

• Envisioning and planning your event: After the date has been confirmed you will

be able to book rooms and send out your invitations so that your guests have

enough time to make arrangements. We will assign a Romance Specialist who

will assist you with the entire planning. Your Romance Specialist will be more than

glad to suggest some ideas to make your day memorable! This period is also the

time where we will ask for some information in order to speed up some

processes. (Documentation for civil weddings, religious wedding requeriments,

rooming list of your guests, etc.)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Couple must reserve a minimum of 5 nights at double adult occupancy in a higher category

room (The Level Rooms). Reservation number is required to confirm Free Package eligibility.

Package includes the *SYMBOLIC Ceremony

Legal and/ or Religious Ceremony have a surcharge of US$ 1,200 (taxes included) and subject to

local availability and legal requirements.

For more than 12 In-House Guests a surcharge will incur US$ 31 per each guest over the 12

included - Additional kids under 5 are free- Additional kids under 12 pay ½ of surcharge fee.

Guests not staying at the resort need to purchase access pass. Prices will be US$ 95 per guest.

Items are not interchangeable for other inclusions, no cash refunds nor do credits apply for

unused items.

In order to be eligible for the free wedding package the reservation should be place at least 30

days prior to the wedding

Couples whom are not eligible for the free Melia Wedding package can purchase it for an

additional charge of US$1200 (taxes included).

The hotel holds property and visual rights. All outside providers need hotels consent to access the

property, in which case a charge will apply.

*A Symbolic ceremony essentially consists of a “blessing” or an “emblematic” ceremony,

performed by a Non-Denominational Minister (with no legal validity). You can celebrate it in any

location, without limitations or legal restrictions. Usually the couples who choose this type of

ceremony have had a civil ceremony in their home country, and arrive at their chosen

destination to celebrate their union surrounded by breathtaking locations. It is required that the

couple be at the resort a minimum of 48 hours prior to the symbolic celebration.

The all-inclusive package of the hotel included dinner in our a la carte

restaurants. Dinner venues and schedules are subject to hotels availability upon

arrival basic on individual reservations.

In order to budget and envision your event please note that you should:

• Decide and reserve proper venue: This will be determined by your number

of guests, their preferences, your schedule including beginning and

ending times. Your Romance manager will provide available options and

book accordingly

• Decide on a menu for your guests: Our guide offers an array of

combinations designed to please your parties taste. We offer plated

service and buffet style dinners

• Decide on what to serve for drinks: From basic service to Premier Open Bar

option, please consult our banquet kit.

• Choose and book your entertainment needs: You will find all our

additional activities in the A LA CARTE WEDDING OPTION that

SUGGESTED PROTOCOL FOR YOUR WEDDING CEREMONY ENTRANCE

Guests & parents:

All the guests have to arrive to the ceremony location 15 minutes before the start time;

the first seats are going to be for the first family members like mother,

father, grandparents, brothers and sisters.

The parents of the bride sit in the first row on the right hand side facing the altar while

the parents of the groom sit in the first row on the left hand side.

Groom:

The groom arrives to the ceremony location before the bride, he will take his position

near the altar in the left side, and his best man will stand next to him.

Bridal Entourage:

In a row all are going to be organized from the smallest to the tallest or in the order the

couple has previously decided.

The flower girl and the ring bearer are going to be the first ones. The Bridesmaids and

Groomsmen walk together in couples. Then we have the Maid of Honor. The distance

between each other are 3 steps, and they will begin walking from and when the

“Romance specialist” inform them. The bridesmaids are going to stand up next to the

bride and the groomsmen next to the groom. The Maid of Honor and Best man are

going to be the closest to the bride and groom respectively.

Bride:

The bride will walk with her father, mother, or with a special guest designated by the

bride at her left side. When they arrive to the altar, he/she shakes hands/greet the

groom, will give the bride a kiss and take her hand and give it to the groom, then

he/she can take a seat in the bride’s side.

Couple together:

As soon as the groom receives the hand of the bride they will walk together and stand

up in front of the Main table, the bride will be at the right side and the groom at the left

side during the whole ceremony; they can take their hands together and face each

other.
