Some say the peak-oil event of 2013 has reverted our extremely energy consumptive society back to the dark ages of the pre-industrial era. We rely soley on the earth’s natural cyclical en-ergies to produce and satisfy our physical needs.

Our intellectual needs on the other hand are expressed through our remote electonical de-vices. We communicate thorugh these silent waves and in the invisible spaces we create entire new worlds and thoughts and sciences. The need to get together to build and expresses grand monumental and phenomenological structures has been replaced by ephermeral, immediate ad-hoc meetings orchestrated through the network. The entire structure of inner city planning and program is disintergrating.

All aspects of life are evolving and shifting in ever-unpredictable ways.

The office building typology is affected to such a degree that the Developer Grocon Pty. Ltd. have asked me to re-program the upper extremities of their CBD towers to accomodate for this shift.

The Nomadic Life support infrastruc-tures is a network of support sys-tems.

The nomad does not so much live in a twnt, a tarp, a slum, an temporart strucutre. He lives in the landscape and does all of work and play in the outdoors.

The nomadic war machine is allowed to take over the top floors of Grocons towers and live there unabideed. In return, they farm the skies. Twist-ing and turning their phototrophic solar wings, they capture the solar energy of the sun.

This creates a symbiotic relationship between the tribe and the building.

We must not forget it is not our buildings that are unsustainable in their own right, it is our actions.

It does not matter if the building is made of con-crete, cardboard, steel, glass, meat, wood, or feath-ers, it can act as a beacon of sustainability if it is utilized properly and given the purpose of bein a large trunk for nomadic leaves.
