Positions included; designer for Phoenix Theatre for Children and over hire for BalletMet. I also work as a wig designer. The work also included collaborating with an interior designer to develop a high end bedding line. Skills employed were design consulting, designing, pattern development and construction. 2008 City of Maples Repertory Theatre Macon, MO Wig Designer Cutter/Draper Ventilated and designed wigs for the production of the Blythe Spirit. Served as cutter/draper for the production of High School Musical. This also included supervising a crew of three college students. 2006-2008 Costume Specialists Columbus, OH Designer Developed prototype mascot and walk around costumes. The costumes were developed from art that was generated by the client. Each costume had a team of designers and production staff. I was responsible for drafting patterns, making fabric choices, which included custom dyeing, and overseeing the construction of the costume. Clients included; Nickelodeon, Random House Publishing, Sesame Street, major universities and various other publishing companies. 2006 Millbrook Playhouse Mill Hall, PA Costume Designer Designed costumes for this theatre’s professional summer stock season consisting of two musicals and two contemporary plays. Responsibilities included designing, patterning, cutting, draping and supervising the costume construction crew. Each show had a one and a half week production period and required careful planning and organization to accomplish the quick turn around between productions.

2005 The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival Center Valley, PA Cutter/Draper Drafted and draped patterns, cut fabric and supervised construction crew for the five show summer season play, three The construction crew consisted of eleven stitchers who were both professionals and students. Each production was set in a different historical time period and required a strong knowledge of costume history and patterning. 2004-2005 Denison University Granville, OH Vail Artist in Residence The Vail Series was founded in 1979 as a gift in the memory of Jeanne Vail, a 1946 alumna. The Vail Series allows for a wide range of professional visual and performing artists to perform, teach and work directly with the students. I designed costumes for the Steven Sondheim musical. production Company in the Theatre and Dance Department. I Worked with the staff costume shop manager and student crew to actualize the design. 2002-2004 Contemporary American Theatre Company (Catco) Columbus, OH Costume Shop Supervisor Over saw all aspects of costume construction for Catco’s six-show season. The season for this professional equity theatre company consisted mostly of new and contemporary pieces. I designed costumes for some of the productions as well as working in the capacity as a shop manager to assist and build costumes for other professional designers. I also designed, styled and ventilated wigs for multiple productions. Responsibilities also included budgeting, ordering supplies, anticipating the need for over hire positions and then hiring for these positions and equipment maintenance. 2001-2002 Ohio Wesleyan University Delaware, Ohio Costume Designer/Costume Shop Supervisor Designed costumes for the theatre department’s four-show season including a dance concert. The dance concerts were choreographed by faculty members, guest artists and students. I supervised student construction crews and advised student costume designs. 2000 Lenoir-Rhyne University, Hickory, NC Adjunct Faculty Taught two classes, a costume design class and a makeup design class. Also designed costumes for the University’s musical production. 1994-1998 High Point University, High Point, NC Adjunct Faculty Taught a course that was a combined costume design and makeup design class. Also designed costumes for the University’s productions. 1994-2000 North Carolina Shakespeare Festival High Point, NC Costume Director Supervised all aspects of costume construction for this professional equity theatre company. The season consisted of four classic plays, some Shakespearian and sometimes another classic pieces. The plays were set in different time periods and different styles often inspired by classic artists. The professional staff was made up of a cutter/draper, five stitchers and a crafts person. I worked directly with costume designers and directors to actualize the designs. This position required a diverse background in costume technology, cutting and draping patterns for period garments, millinery, fabric dyeing and embellishing and crafts. 1992-1994 East Carolina University Greenville, NC Costume Shop Supervisor Supervised student crews for five shows and one dance concert during the academic year. The shows were varied contemporary and classic plays with one musical. The dance concert was choreographed by five faculty members.
