Full MEICA Capability
Nomenca's multi-disciplined engineering and management staff have considerable experience throughout a wide array of engineering professions and environments. This in-house expertise enables the company to evaluate schemes and present sound cost effective design solutions, which are constructed on time, within budget and in a professional manner.
The introduction of 3D Solid Modelling techniques with interactive ‘fly-throughs’ for the majority of multi-disciplined schemes has significantly reduced project timescales, aided operability and maintainability, but most importantly improved the safe construction, installation and long term operation of these schemes.

Rail The company has recently developed its capacity within the rail sector, with more than 40 electricians, mechanical fitters and project staff now PTS Certified. Nomenca now provides Mechanical & Electrical design, Installation and Commissioning services to the rail sectors’ specific operating standards.
Network Rail have a number of rail depots in England which require work to be undertaken to ensure that the depot plant and pipework complies with the Pollution Prevention (Oil / Fuel Storage) (England) Regulations 2001. Typically, the M&E work required involves:
• replacement of existing underground fuel oil, lubricating oil and antifreeze pipework with above ground flanged pipework
• supporting steelwork and gantries
• replacement of existing fuel pumps and de-aerator equipment
• installation of failsafe electrically actuated valves
• installation of new control panels, cabling and software to enable the offloading of fuel oil, lubricating oil and antifreeze into storage tanks, and the dispensing from tanks to trains
The work is undertaken within the constraints of an operational depot, involving the interface of existing and new installations to achieve a smooth transition with the minimum of impact upon operations.
Nomenca Limited are currently carrying out works at 5 LMD sites; Blackpool, Barrow-in-Furness, Manchester Newton Heath, Nottingham and Hull using their own in-house PTS trained personnel on behalf of Wrekin Rail.
