The urgency to change our public website!

• In 2010 we upgraded our content management tool used to manage our public website.

• The tool turned out to be a clunker!- Page loads spiking to 5-13 seconds- Drop in lead conversions- Increased maintenance - Unable to share content between language sites- Performance was so poor (outside the US) our

global site admins could no longer make changes

Meeting # 83

Project Goals (Beyond performance improvements)

• Leverage investment across all platforms• Implement new, automated translation process• Redesign navigation and branding• Share content globally more easily• Provide our machine manuals with search

functionality• Centralize management of product content• Reduce maintenance• Integrate with other business systems

Meeting # 83

Project Accomplishments

• 7 months (start to finish)• 300+ pages of content from scratch• 18 language variations (3 brands)• Move to new hosted environment• SharePoint learning curve
