YOUTH NEWS! THANK YOU YOUTH for Bringing not only Canned Goods for the Christian Kitchen but also the Diapers and Wipes. We had a great response! The DEADLINE for Summer Youth Camp DEPOSIT IS FEBRUARY 26th!! Our Dates

are set for May 21st-25th and we are planning to spend a day at the Magic Kingdom this year during camp, so your DEPOSIT MUST BE PAID ON TIME! Please make sure you sign up ASAP. ALSO we will star t rehearsing Youth Puppets and Handbells in preparation for Youth Sunday which will be Sunday, March 5th. THE AREA OF MUSIC: Our music this past week was WONDERFUL!! Orchestra members check your texts to see if we will rehearse this Sunday morning. The choir will sing a call to worship and special this week. THERE IS A CRITICAL SHORTAGE OF BLOOD! The Red Cross Blood Drive will be Monday, February 13, in the First Baptist Gym from 1:00 to 6:00 pm. It will be sponsored by the Vietnam Veteran’s of America, Chapter 1082. Pizza will be served and each donor will be entered

for a drawing for $100. What a wonderful VALEN-TINE gift, the gift of blood to help another human be-ing live.

LET’S GO OUT TO THE RACES!!! This Wednesday Night, February 15th, we will gather at 6pm in the Gym for our annual RA Pinewood Derby Race! This is such a wonderful annual event. Thanks to all the RA boys who par-

ticipate and all the leaders who help with our RA boys. Also.. Thanks to those at home who help the boys prepare the cars. Disney will re-release “Beauty and the Beast” in March. We have tentatively scheduled a FBC showing for us on Sunday afternoon, March 19th at 2pm. This will be for the entire family. More details coming soon.

lead our Children’s Church for our Pre

-School age group on Sunday morn-

ings. We have a committed group of

about 25 adults who are on a rotation but

they are asked to do lead 4 times a year.

With the elimination of our Nursery

Volunteer list, we were hoping some

would volunteer to help with Children’s

Church so that our current workers would not have to serve

so often. A NEW volunteer lists will begin in April so if you

would consider helping us, please contact Blane, Bailey or Ni-

cole Kicklighter. Thanks for your consideration.

Turn In Your Teddy Bears By Wednesday Night

The Mission Friends are collecting Teddy Bears to give to the Fitzgerald Police Department for children they come in contact with. During the RA Pinewood Derby on February 15, please bring a standard size Teddy Bear or Stuffed animal as your admission to the Derby. You can also bring them by the church office anytime and we will get them to the Mission Friends. Thanks for your help with this mis-sion project!

Abundance Ministry

Thank you so very much for your donations to the Abundance Ministry. Drinks, individually wrapped Snack Cakes, Crackers, Vienna Sausage, Gum, Chips and Cookies are some of the items that you can bring. If you do not shop, you are welcome to donate money and someone else will do the shopping for you. Just mark your check or envelope for the Abundance Ministry. We understand that this ministry has been on-going for years now, but it is no less important than when Peggy took the first “load” of goodies to set “your gift” up and into operation. You have taken hold of this ministry and made it yours and you are to be commended. Peggy sees it daily, and wishes that we could see it even once—how very, very happy these patients can be with what we think of as an everyday thing. “Nothing like an RC Cola and a Moon Pie” to lift one’s spirits!

Jerry’s Text for Sunday Morning Exodus 13:17, 14:5-7, 10-12, 21-23, 27, 31

17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 5 When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about them and said, “What have we done? We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services!” 6 So he had his chariot made ready and took his army with him. 7 He took six hundred of the best chariots, along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them. 10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!” 21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, 22 and the Israelites went through the season dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. 23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea. 27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward[ it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. 31 And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.
