In today’s connected world, children everywhere know what happened to Humpty Dumpty and the antics of Jack & Jill. Yet many Indian children are unfamiliar with their own native folklore, a vast treasure trove of Indian stories and rhymes that have delighted and instructed generations of Indian children. The playful lyrics often hold subtle life lessons, helping children learn language, numbers and cultural values.

Ghotu Motu Ki Toli aims to bring the magic of these rhymes to children, blending heritage and folklore with the quality of entertainment that has come to be expected of international programming. We hope to supplement their learning, provide entertainment, and help them become truly global citizens.

Meet Ghotu, the mischievous little magician. Cute, funny and full of energy, Ghotu loves to eat, and to perform amazing tricks to impress everyone. He even uses magic to get out of sticky situations!

The oldest of the group, nerdy Motu is always full of wisdom and curiosity. Ever eager to learn and explore, she’s also usually the first to burst into song.
