Across our nine schools, we o�er more than 80 technical and professional �elds of study, with equipment and technology to develop the full potential of our students and to allow practical training for each of their courses of study.

Professional Degree: Programs lasting 8 to 9 semesters to complete.

Technical Degree: Programs lasting 5 semesters to complete.

PEV: Part-Time Evening Executive Program. This program encompasses Duoc UC’s academic program and also allows students to work on their course part-time. This Program aims to provide new training opportunities for people who wish to pursue their studies through a �exible schedule, due to geographic constraints, specializations and students’ professional obligations. This part-time schedule allows students to have �exible class attendance requirement, however students are also required to work on an independent study project as their participation in a course.

Auditing

An Auditor will perform the �nancial record-keeping, tax payments and management, information systems and management control of enterprises of di�erent sizes and revenues, as well as auditing �rms. In addition, one can perform and be independently contracted to advise di�erent types of companies in the �nancial, accounting, tax, labor and auditing areas.

Administration

This professional will perform various administrative roles in �nance and management in di�erent areas for many types of businesses, and may also generate and manage businesses. In particular, they may work in areas such as budgeting, management control, administrative operations, billing, invoicing, accounting, �nance, investment, risk analysis and general administration.

Human Resource Management

This individual may work in service organizations, non-pro�t organizations, and public or private entities. Foreign Trade

Logistics Management

A Logistics Management Engineer is able to work in the tactical and strategic areas of di�erent economic sectors associated with refueling operations, warehousing, inventory control, transportation and distribution, reverse logistics, and green logistics. In companies such as logistics and distribution centers, retail companies, production and services, transportation and cargo, and in general, any company or institution that includes marketing, distribution and transport of goods and services in the domestic market and international as well. The skills acquired will enable them to generate their own workspaces, through the creation and management of micro and technical assistance in the area of logistics.

Marketing

Graduates in marketing engineering will perform in both public and private organizations, being quali�ed for executive levels and to support large enterprises and organizations. Logistics Management Technician

Commercial Management Technician

Graduates with a Technical Degree in Commercial Management are able to perform in mass market, specialty retail or large entities, not only in the commercial sector and services, but also �nancial and banking institutions, insurance companies and services in the industrial, mining or agriculture industries. These graduates are trained for roles such as sales executives, supervisor of sales teams, business analysts or sales managers.

Acting

This professional is trained to perform in theater companies, TV shows, TV series, miniseries, movies (feature and short �lms), video; commercials and teaching.

Professional Title: Actor/Actress.

Computer Animation

Graduates in Computer Animation are trained to work in television, �lm video and multimedia production, audiovisual post production facilities, audiovisual departments of companies, technical services and creative audiovisual production animation (modeling, animation, rigging, render, compositing and visual e�ects), advertising agencies, design agencies, web and video games companies. They can also work as an independent consultant or contractor for any of these aforementioned areas.

Professional Title: Computer Animator.

Audiovisual Communication

Graduates in Audiovisual Communication are trained to work in television, �lm video and multimedia production, audiovisual post production facilities, audiovisual departments of companies, technical services and creative audiovisual production animation (modeling, animation, rigging, render, compositing and visual e�ects), advertising agencies, design agencies, web and video games companies. Audio Engineering

Audio Engineers are quali�ed to work in:- Recording Studios. As a Recording and mixing engineer, designing and directing the process of recording and mixing music production.- Audiovisual productions. Sound Engineers will perform, direct and capture live sound and �eld environments.- Audio post-production. As audio post-producer, they will direct the recording of speech and foley, synchronizing audio and image, and integrating and creatively proposing music and sound environments.- TV channels. As an Audio Engineer, they will perform tasks associated to electro-acoustic design and recording, mixing and audio post-production for programs.- Radio. As a sound control and post-producer, they will be responsible for recording and broadcasting of programs, and creating an auditory identity for the station or program.- Sound Reinforcement Companies. As Audio Engineers they will work designing and operating ampli�cation systems for �xed or temporary installations.- Production of events and shows. They will be able to work as Audio Engineers and Technical Coordinators, integrating and controlling the areas of sound, lighting, stage, power and backline equipment.-Acoustic Solution Companies. As Audio Engineers, they can design acoustic solutions in the areas of conditioning and soundproo�ng.

Advertising

Graduates from Duoc UC’s Advertising �eld are able to work in any companies or institutions that develop and implement marketing, communications, creativity, content development and advertising programs, as well as in companies that provide professional services in these areas. They can also practice their profession by generating their own business and/or consulting businesses in the �elds of communication, marketing, advertising and media.

Public Relations Major in Marketing

The Public Relations O�cer is trained to work within public relations, public a�airs, communications departments, marketing departments, production and event centers, cultural organizations, social welfare, corporate social responsibility, human resources and the independent exercise of any these areas.

Technical Advertising major in Advertising Production

Graduates in ADVERTISING major in Advertising PRODUCTION are trained to work in advertising and communication agencies, digital agencies, audiovisual production, and communication departments and/or marketing companies of products and services, as well as independent professionals in any these areas.

Technical Title: Advertising Major in Advertising Production Technician.

Audiovisual Technician

An Audiovisual Technician is trained to work with cameras, sound, lighting, post-production, transmission and integration of digital processes across television stations (open signal, cable, Internet), �lm and TV producers, companies dedicated to Audiovisual equipment, event production companies, audiovisual departments of companies, digital media (Internet) and the independent exercise of any of the above areas.

Technical Title: Audiovisual Technician.

Sound Technology

A Sound Technician is quali�ed to work in the following areas under the supervision of an Audio Engineer or a producer:- Recording Studios. As a Recording and Mixing Technician, installing and operating specialized equipment during the recording and mixing processes of a music production.- Audiovisual productions. As Sound Technician, working on the direct sound capture and in the �eld.- Audio post-production. As sound post-producer, they will record speech and foley, synchronizing audio and image, and creatively integrating music and sound environments.- TV channels. As a sound technician, recording, mixing and working on audio post-production for programs.- Radio. As a sound control and post-producer. They will be responsible for the recording and broadcasting of programs.- Sound Reinforcement Companies. As Sound Technicians they will work assembling and operating ampli�cation systems for �xed or temporary installations.- Production of events and shows. They will be able to work as Sound Technician, integrating the sound areas, lighting, stage, power and backline equipment.-Audio supplies sales companies. As sound Technician, they can suggest di�erent sound systems according to the needs of the client.

School of Construction GENERAL INFORMATION

The Duoc UC School of Construction o�ers a wide range of �elds of study that from the �rst year of study incorporate the latest technology in classrooms, workshops, laboratory equipment and computer support, to enable students to develop all their technical skills.

PROFESSIONAL DEGREES

Construction Engineering

This degree allows graduates to work with construction companies or City Works departments, public and private institutions; and also they can work as an independent subcontractor or entrepreneur. These professionals are trained to work in business management or in a technical management of construction projects. Moreover, they are capable of planning, directing and controlling all kinds of works, both technical and within administrative management.

Professional Title: Construction Engineer.Technical Title: Construction Technician.

Risk Prevention Engineering

Graduates with this degree are able to work with companies that service the private and public sectors, including: agriculture, forestry, �sheries, forestry, mining, manufacturing, construction, electricity, health, trade, transport, storage, and communications. In addition, according to the Chilean law No. 16744, which sets standards with occupational accidents and diseases, graduates may serve as a professional expert in risk prevention in occupational safety and health; occupational safety and health program supervisor; consultants for quality, environment and safety management systems,; consultants on integrated management systems in these matters; auditing and as independent external consultants to companies.

TECHNICAL DEGREES

Architectural and Structural Drafting

Graduates with this technical degree will work within architectural and engineering o�ces, both within the public and private sectors that need to include drawers trained to work with CAD/BIM programs. These professionals can also work as part of a team of designers, or independently, as consultants able to work remotely. They are trained to excel in engineering companies (structural drawing and roadwork), construction companies (construction and details drawing) or companies that develop scale models for future projects as well. They will also help to create and develop technical documentation for these projects and will also be able to review said documents on a larger scale both within the public or private sector.

Heritage Conservation

The Heritage Conservation Technician is trained to work in speci�c areas of restoration, conservation and rehabilitation of real estate and furniture, institutions in both public and private sectors, as well as independently as subcontractor. Their role within a restoration requires this professional to be able to diagnose, propose a schedule, control and execute speci�c restoration items, interacting directly with the project manager, the restoration architect, as well as specialists workers who may be under their supervision. Technical Title: Heritage Conservation Technician.

Construction Technician

Graduates with this Technical Degree are generally contracted by construction companies, either for building or civil works, by public and private institutions, companies that supply goods and services, materials and construction equipment; and are also able to work as an independent contractor. This professional is trained to work on construction projects to manage, program and control speci�c areas, interacting directly with the professionals responsible for the work, ful�lling midlevel functions under the supervision of the project manager.

Technical Title: Construction Technician.

Electrical Projects and Installations Technician

Graduates with this technical degree are generally contracted by both public and private companies, as well as working as independent consultants in this �eld, being able to create their own company focused on this area. The technician will be trained to join construction companies, real estate projects, contractors in the low, medium and high voltage electrical speci�cations, maintenance services, fabrication and assembly of electrical equipment, industrial and mining assembly among others; as a draftsman and electrical designer, supervisor of works, electrical works inspector, electrical electric power measuring, and be responsible for maintenance, among other responsibilities.

Risk Prevention Technician

Graduates with this degree will work with companies both in the private and public sector, including: agriculture, forestry, �sheries, forestry, mining, manufacturing, construction, electricity, health, trade, transport, storage and communications. In addition, according to the Chilean law No. 16744, which sets standards on occupational accidents and diseases, they can work as a technical expert in risk prevention, technical assistant in occupational prevention, safety and health; supervisor in occupational safety and health; consultant in occupational safety and health, and/or working independently as a professional in this �eld.

Surveying Technician

Surveying Technicians are trained to work in di�erent multidisciplinary teams, working in construction, agriculture, mining, health, both public and private, where accurate and quali�ed topographical information is required to prepare and develop projects. In addition, graduates with this degree may also work independently as consultants in this �eld.

Interior Design

Interior Designers train to work either independently or with associate companies or design �rms dedicated to develop projects related to environments, interior design and equipment. This degree also trains in the specialist development in which these professionals can become entrepreneurs such as in SME sector.As a professional, Interior Designers are able to integrate into multidisciplinary teams, aimed at responding to the present and future needs and requirements of the sector, covering projects of event settings and ephemeral productions, showcase design, visual merchandising, accessibility and workspaces, design for tourism and culture, lighting and scenery. Interior Designers manage speci�c skills that enable them to serve as designer - speci�er and expert on digital representation of spaces and photo-realistic visualization.

Fashion Design

Fashion Designers are able to work in the organization and supervision of the production, in the development of standards and technical documentation as fashion modellers and/or production technician for companies within the garment industry. They can incorporate into the areas of design, communication and management of products and/or competitive services in factories, workshops, department stores, as well as areas of theater, �lm and television costumes, producer companies and other companies alike. They can also serve as an illustrator and/or fashion producer in both print and digital publications. Finally they can work as entrepreneurs or independent businesses in the SME sector in potential development niches.

Graphic Design

Graphic Designers are trained professionals that can work freelance, as part of consulting and development services for visual communication projects, participating in multidisciplinary teams of diverse public and private companies in the communications sector and related industries, and/or directly contributing to the development of graphic communication solutions.In turn, they can also form part of internal communication departments of various types of companies, which require an area responsible for developing and formalizing processes associated to the corporate image and identity of those companies.The main areas in which the Graphic Designer generally work are related to the area of communications such as design agencies, advertising agencies and media, publishing houses, magazines, newspapers, television and audiovisual producer companies.Together, designers also work within companies related to the production processes which utilize graphic elements in printed or digital formats, printing, services associated with printed and digital graphics.Furthermore, they can generate their own innovation projects and/or become entrepreneurs in their area, which respond to potential niche markets, developing new development channels and promoting employment.

Industrial Design

Industrial Designers train to work freelance, within o�ce design consulting �rms, in product development and designing services for di�erent economic and productive sectors. Illustration

Illustrators are linked to the area of design, communication, advertising and marketing, working directly with design �rms, advertising agencies, publishing houses and audiovisual producers. They establish partnerships with professionals from other disciplines, or working independently for their clients.

Technical Title: Illustrator.

Web Production

The Web Producer can work freelance where he can market development and production services, as part of companies, o�ces or departments dedicated to design or web development projects either in public or private institutions oriented to service or training. This professional is able to integrate into multidisciplinary teams in graphic design agencies, web development companies, communication and dissemination departments, as well as advertising agencies, helping in the translation and coding of projects requirements in di�erent environments and publishing platforms.

Technical Title: Website Producer.

Graphic Design Technician

The Graphic Design Technician is able to perform both in the supervision and execution of production processes of printed graphics projects. These projects can be developed for print shops, design studios or o�ces, advertising agencies, packaging �rms, large format graphics o�ces and companies related to graphic printing production services.

Technical Title: Graphic Producer.

Industrial Clothing Production Technician

The Industrial Clothing Production Technician is trained to organize and supervise the production; he can work in the development of patterns and prototypes; also, in the technical documentation in English and Spanish for export and import of products; as fashion modeller and/or technician at factories production, workshops and department stores, among others.

School of Engineering SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

To meet the great challenges of the XXI century the training of human capital specialized in critical subjects for the development of our society, such as energy, transportation and mining, is required. Those trained in these areas must have the knowledge, skills and attitudes (work skills) in order to make projects become real and reach the development of the countries, while also incorporating technological and interpersonal skills.

The School of Engineering provides Duoc UC students with technical training and Engineering degrees in the areas of maintenance, machinery and mining, Electricity and Automation, and also Mechanical Automotive and Autotronics technologies.

Graduates in Electricity and Industrial Automation Engineering work within the mining, forestry energy, food and transportation companies, and also areas that require the use of electrical and/or automation equipment for their operations.They are also able to provide professional services to these industries in engineering, maintenance and equipment suppliers companies.Electrical Engineers can work as well as drafters, editors, programmers, maintainers, supervisors, planners and/or administrators.

Machinery and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Engineering

The professional �eld for Machinery and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Engineers correspond to the various jobs in the areas of corrective and preventive, administrative, commercial and management maintenance of many types of businesses such as freight and passenger transportation, mining, forestry, agriculture, construction and labor, among others.

Graduates with a Technical Degree in Renewable Energy and Energy E�ciency will perform e�ectively in companies engaged in the generation and maintenance of renewable energy, particularly solar and wind, companies associated with low voltage electric service, transportation and distribution, companies related to low voltage electric automation and assembly, as well as those companies that provide consultancy services and energy e�ciency controls.

Electricity and Industrial Automation Technician

Graduates with a degree in Electricity and Industrial Automation will be needed in the mining, energy, forestry, food and transportation as well as sectors that require the use of electrical and/or automation in their operations.They will also be able to provide professional services to those industries with engineering, maintenance and equipment suppliers companies.They may also enter into the industry as a drafter, editor, programmer, maintainer and supervisor.

Electromechanics Maintenance Major in Industry Technician

This professional �eld for these technicians consists of a wide range of companies from di�erent industrial sectors, most notably the forestry industry, transport, food, energy and mining. They can also serve on the various service providers companies in di�erent industrial areas where electromechanical maintenance is needed.
