The Team Challenge1

As a Team on Friday morning you must complete the

Final Team Challenge

The Challenge: to enable the Protector to raise the Team flag on Down Tor

(GR: 580694) by midday on Friday.

Important Challenge Information:

The flag must only be raised by the Protector who will ensure the continued freedom

of Dartmoor.

The Protector must be wearing the “Badge of Office” as the flag is being raised.

The Team must locate and carry the flag pole to the flag raising location.

Find a means to hoist the flag to the top of the pole. (Only the Protector can raise

the team flag).

The flag pole must be self supporting.

The team must make an appropriate flag for the Protector to raise.

The Protector: ensures the freedom of Dartmoor by raising a flag on “Down Tor” on

certain occasions during the year. There is opposition to this so the Protector is in hiding

and who’s identity and whereabouts is kept secret. In a recent uprising injury caused the

Protector to lose the use of both legs. The Protector can however gain mobility in the

legs if “walking Pills” are given, or the team have purchased the artificial legs. The

Protectors location can only be revealed once the team have purchased The Final

Challenge Map the night before the flag is due to be raised.

Please read the reverse of this sheet for other important information.
