Evidence of fluctuatingvital signs, lab values, and physical symptoms and planof care adjustments must be documented in themedical record.
Not included is the loss of function resulting from atemporary disability from which full recovery isexpected. This definition does not cover unstablebehavioral health conditions.

Private Duty Nursing (PDN) and Personal Care Services (PCS)Eligibility
A child meets the medical eligibility requirements for a particularlevel of PDN care if he or she needs a combination of assistancewith the required numbers of Activities of Daily Living and nursingservices, as appropriate, in the context of an individual’s age-appropriate development.
