To access the Medilogistics App installed on your computer, you

need to be connected to the Internet

Step 1:

Double Click on “Remote Desktop” as per FIGURE 1 below

Step 2:

Click “Connect” (Ensure that the RDP name to use is rdp.medilogistics.co.za)

In case the above RDP address does not allow access, please try the following : rdp.medipost.co.za

Your Desktop screen would be replaced with a screen as per example below:

(Note that you can Minimize this screen and proceed with other work while the program is not in use)

Step 3:

Double click on Icon “FG4 (Medilogistics)” as identified on the image on the Right hand side FIGURE 2

Step 4:

In the blank space next to “User Name” please enter your unique Group code

as provided to you by your trainer. With the code entered, press “Enter” on your keyboard

SCAN-IN(Step by Step) - When a courier delivers medication to your practice, it is of the upmost importance to record that the

medication has arrived.

- This process involves the use of the Medilogistics App installed on your PC.

Step 1:

Click on “Medipost” and the Select “Scan IN” as per FIGURE3 below

Step 2:

Scan or Enter manually the patient barcode into system

Patient Label to scan (See example below)

Note: Medilogistics may instruct other couriers to conduct the delivery of parcels to your practice, altough all Medipost

parcels are easily identifyable and scannable on your system, with the use of the standarized patient label on the

parcel.

Important:When receiving a consolidated shipment of parcels, a Group label on the bag/ box would have to be scanned

or manually enteredfirst, before individual parcells can be scanned or enterred manually.

Note: Scanning In will automaticallyupdate the Hub counter as in below:

Scanning a “Single" parcel received at the Practice : Upon scanning you will be prompted to receive a parcel that has already been scanned out at Medipost. See below

example:

1. Press “Y” and Click “Yes”

2. Specify a Reason Code

3. Return reason put Code “24” which means that a single parcel has been received at the Doctors Rooms.

4. Press the “F4” key or click “F4 – Update” to finish scanning the parcel into the Practice.

Processes to follow/ or encountered during login

We endeavour to always ensure that our system runs optimally, and therefore we will always run the latest updates to

ensure that users across all platforms can connect to our Compliance program. To achieve best results, our systems will

run updates in the evenings, to minimize day to day downtime.

When logging-in and you receive the following as displayed below, please follow the steps as indicated:

Figure1: When you have logout out, the Medilogistics App. (FG4) was not closed properly. As indicated above in GREEN,

close the App first before disconnecting the Remote connection, to prevent this screen from showing at Start-up.

To proceed, you only need to Press F4, or Click the F4 button on the message bar.

You will from time to time receive this message after you have logged in. This message serves as a “Licensing

agreement” to use this application. To proceed with the program, you will have to Click the drop-down arrow (as

indicated in the Red arrow) and Click on the “Y” button.

Figure3. After selecting “Scan-In”, the practice info box may appear from time to time. All practice info needs to be completed with no details left out. Please contact your representative via phone/ mail to assist you, in order to prevent this screen from showing every time at start-up. Figure4

At start-up when you double-click the FG4 Icon, and the system displays the notification “Control record locked” as shown on Figure4, click the “YES” button repeatedly until you are allowed access to the login page. To control the flow of users, this feature will indicate that the maximum allowed of users on the system has been reached. No need to be alarmed, as your login will be granted shortly. Should you however continue to experience problems, please contact your representative to resolve this notification.

SCAN-OUT - When a patient or a person appointed by the patient arrives to collect medication at the practice, it is of the

upmost importance to record the collection of the medication.

- This process involves the use of the Medilogistics App installed on your PC.

Step 1:

When scanning the Parcels out to a patient, Click “Medipost” and “Scan OUT patient collect”

Step2:

Scan or Manually Enter the Patient Barcode into th Scan-out screen

Step 3:

Did the patient change his/ her Cellular number?

IMPORTANT: This telephone number is used to notify the Patient of medication availabilty monthly.

Step 4:

Confirm Name of person collecting medication

After the person collecting the parcel’s name have been entered, proceed to Step5

Step 5:

Press or click F4 to update/ save the change

The Electronic POD is then Linked with the Patients Profile. As per the Service agreement between Medilogistics and

yourselves, payment can only be process for a parcel that has a valid POD.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Figure5 When receiving the following display (Figure5) when Scanning a parcel (In/ Out), please contact your representative to resolve telephonically. The profile are being accesed by two users simultantiously, and this causes a conflict. The parcel can be handed to the patient/ person collecting, but will have to be escallated to the representative, to be manually removed from the system.

At the Doctors Rooms, when receiving a consolidated shipment, it is required to scan both labels as indicated as per the

examples above.

The “Group Label” only needs to be scanned when receiving the medication.

Prescription Process – MedilogisticsGroup Doctors

All group doctors will receive a stamp to be used to indicate the patient’s desired parcel delivery address.

The following detail will be required on the stamp:

1. If the parcel’s delivery destination is to the Group- practice: * The “GROUP NUMBER” must be completed. * Signature 2. If the parcel’s delivery destination to any alternate destination:

* “To-Door” tick box must be ticked. * Signature

3. If the parcel must be collected at a Medilogistics hub, the Hub name must be filled in and ticked.

IMPORTANT: For all options, a valid signature is required to validate the delivery

instruction.

Medipost pharmacy and Medilogistics welcomes all Medihelp Faranani patients from June 2015. Patients will now

benefit by receiving their patient-ready parcels monthly delivered at their doctor - / or Medilogistics Group practice. We offer this exclusive service in collaboration with Mobilemeds & Dimension Prime Network. These parcels must also be recorded on our Medilogistics Program with deliveries/ collections. (DO NOT REMOVE PARCEL OUT OF BAG)

Patients that prefer to get their parcels delivered elsewhere, or use another service provider, will be

levied a 60% co-payment.

Faranani prescriptions must be sent to [email protected] or Faxed to 012 336 9544, and NOT to Medipost. Strata Healthcare call centre at 086 1052 731 or 012 336 9100
