What is Marlin?

Marlin is working with the Ministry of Health in Afghanistan

They provide essential health care for vulnerable people in some of the country’s most remote and hard to reach areas

They are trying to get rid of malaria in the villages there

How is Marlin Helping?

They are helping 800,000 people in KunduzBy mid-2010, we will have trained 132

midwives, benefitting over 600,000 peopleWe are reaching at least 197,000 people this

year through mobile clinics

Availability of Medical Care

A lot of undeveloped places in Afg. Don’t have the right medical care

Developing places are hard to find because of the poor economy, poor baseline health indices, and ongoing violence

The Basic Package of Health Service provides healthcare that would have the most cost-effective impact on common health problems
