When Jetty Road returned from recording in Canada last December, their attention shifted to an event off in the distance, a date in May 2015. That date has now arrived! This week marks the occasion that the band can finally share the product that they have so passionately and painstakingly crafted. The buzz among fans and industry alike surrounding Hearts On Fire is reaching fever pitch ahead of its release this Friday, 29 May, 2015. It was back in February when the band sat with cautious optimism and watched the world’s reaction to the lead single What We Did Last Night that the pieces started to fall into place.



This first single achieved something that no other single release had done for Jetty Road, it reached Number 1 on each of the major Australian Country Music charts (The Music Network, Country Tracks & Kix). That is a rare feat for any release and marked the moment that the band knew they were back with a renewed level of excitement and acceptance. The success of the single was noticed far and wide and resulted in the band being signed to record label Maven and Sony Music Entertainment Australia. This represented more uncharted territory. For the first time ever the band was not releasing their album independently. This announcement was solidified by another first when their second single (released last week) and the title track from their album – Hearts On Fire – debuted at Number 5 on the charts, even while the first single was still at Number 2. About Jetty Road Celebrating an impressive 10 years together as a band in 2015, Jetty Road is one of Australia’s hottest and brightest country acts. The release of their fourth album Far Away Places in May 2011 saw the band garner some serious attention from fans and critics alike with the album spending an amazing 41 weeks on the ARIA Australian Country Album Chart. The band met while studying at Music College in Melbourne, Australia, and after a few years began writing and recording music, releasing their debut album Full Circle in 2005, the follow up album, Dirt Roads City Lights in 2007, their multi award winning album Life at a Million Miles in 2009 and most recently Far Away Places in 2011. They had many Top 30 hits on Australian country radio and Country Music Channel, but more impressively they've hit the coveted No.1 position no less than four times on country radio (I'm A Dreamer #1 for 7 weeks, Million Miles #1 for 6 weeks, Serves You Right #1 for 4 weeks, and Sweet Goodbye #1 for 3 weeks) and six times on Country Music Channel (City Lights, Million Miles, World Keeps Turning, Serves You Right, I'm A Dreamer and Sweet Goodbye). Along with strong chart success, Jetty Road has won many awards including two CMAA Awards (Golden Guitar) at the 38th and 40th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia for Best Group / Duo. They have also been honoured with Album of the Year and Single of the Year nominations. Their other key country music accolades also include Australian Independent Artist of the Year, Australian Independent Album of the Year, Australian Independent Group/Duo of the Year, numerous Australian Country Music People's Choice Awards, the National Music Oz Award for Best Country Act and the major Professional Development Award ($20,000) AIADA Award in recognition of excellence in Australian Independent Country Music. Earning themselves a 2012 APRA Music Award nomination for Country Work of the Year is further testament of their achievements in the Australian music industry. More recently their song I'm A Dreamer achieved finalist status in the International Song Competition (Country Section), receiving an 'Honourable Mention'.
