Obstacle of Dementia: Closer Narrative The video starts slowly with just the empty wilderness of the forest. Afterwards the main protagonist appears, she is wandering through the forest. She continues to walk further as some of the band members playing their instruments start to appear very disjointedly. As the lyrics come in you see the singer in the distance walk away into the fog. The protagonist stops for a second to try and comprehend what she has saw. She continues to walk deeper and deeper into the forest as the ghosts disappear and re-appear more frequently. As the first small solo comes in you see the lead guitarist and the singer. When the first chorus begins the protagonist sees the band playing in the distance for a short period. The chorus continues and the band can be seen playing all around her but she appears to be unaware as she continues walking then the camera zooms rapidly into her. When the first chorus end you see the main protagonist laying up against a wall in a room with a syringe on the floor next to her. She appears dead but her lips are faintly moving as the camera swaps back to the main protagonist back in the forest as the second chorus starts. During the second chorus the band continues to play around the protagonist whilst she is still unaware of them, during the final part of the chorus the main singer goes to touch the protagonist’s shoulder when she turns around and sees him. She begins to run away as the ghosts appear all around her. When she reaches the grave she falls to her knees and begins to cry. It then goes to the main protagonist lifeless in the room and fade out as the song fades out.
