Production-based electives:

Theory-based electives:
Understanding television; Film language and history; New media and society; Media and popular culture, Sound in media culture.
Year two

Placement; Research methods
Production-based electives:
Video; Photography
Theory-based electives:
Popular music; Journalism; Film studies; Visual culture; Community media; Language, media, and power; Mobile media
“My personal highlight of the degree came in the second year, when the entire course is set the task of completing a month’s placement in whatever environment they so wish. I managed to secure two weeks experience in the infamous NME offices, followed by two weeks in the offices of Rockfeedback, a music website also based in London.”

Even though there is a core of theoretical and academic lectures, around them are orbiting numerous interesting modules that span from photography to popular music. Every semester is a new world that you can test and further develop your capabilities.”
