Media magazine research analysis

Overall my survey shows that the most popular genre of magazine is music with 85% agreeing with this and the other 15% choosing fashion so a combination of the two genres should create a good magazine.

The most popular price people were willing to pay for a magazine was £2.50- £3 so my magazine will probably be around this price range making it affordable.

Again the most popular content people wished to see inside a magazine according to my survey was music, fashion and gossip. I will interpret each of these into my magazine to make the magazine appeal to everyone.

The favourite music genres shown in my survey were R’n’B, pop and grime, with over 35% choosing R’n’B, 25% choosing grime and around 12% choosing pop.

Nearly 65% of people who took my survey would either like their magazine published weekly or monthly so either one of these will be chosen for my magazine. A monthly published magazine proved to be the most popular with around 63% choosing this option.

The images that want to be seen on a magazine cover are models, actors and singers. Models won massively with over 60%.

The main colours that I will include on my magazine cover are white, black, red and red as these were the main colour chosen by people taking the survey. They wish to see these colours on the front cover. It is the front cover which directly draws the reader in and catches their attention so if people want to see these colours on their covers then they should be used to create a successful magazine.
