What Can You Say?
information; a call to action; an inducement to buy, sell, rent or lease; or use comparative or qualitative language. Boise State Radio announcements are 20 seconds, including the lead-in.
Current FCC regulations allow sponsors to provide listeners with important information about their business, products and services, including:
• Company name• Up to three products and services• Factual descriptions• Recognized business slogan• A simple web address• The location of the business• Telephone number
With an average of only four underwriting announcements each hour, there is no clutter. Underwriting announcements are noticed and do not irritate because they do not interrupt programs. This gives the underwriter the ability to “double-target” their message: they reach an upscale audience and the association with public radio gives an implied quality message about the company. Boise State Radio reserves the right to edit all underwriting announcements to conform to state and federal regulations, and to refuse nonconforming language.

Get Results The bottom line is that underwriters get results on Boise State Radio.

Sponsorship on Boise State Radio is not only good for business, but it’s also good support for a valued community resource. 94% of the NPR audience agree that public radio programming is important, and if it went away, they would miss it.*
