Bauer Media

Bauer Media Group is a large European based media company that manages a portfolio of magazines, digital products, radio and TV stations in local markets across the world.

Bauer Media Group started off as a small printing house in Germany, Bauer then entered the UK under the name of H Bauer publishing and launched Bella magazine in 1987, since then Bauer have continued to grow and in 2012 made a turnover of more than €2 billion. To this day Bauer Media UK reaches over 22 million UK consumers every week through a portfolio of world-class, multi-platform media and entertainment brands including heat, Kiss, Grazia, Empire, Magic and Absolute Radio.

Bauer Media Group has a 50% stake in the British television company Box Television, the other half owned by Channel 4. Box Television acts as the content subsidiary that produces several popular music television channels, which include: 4Music,The Box, Heat, Kerrang!, Kiss, Magic and Smash Hits

Bauer Media Group own and create a variety of different and popular magazines in all different genres and brands which help Bauer become the massive business they are today. Bauer currently have 20 different brands of which are published in the UK ranging from Music, Entertainment and motorcycling to Football, Equine and Gardening.

Bauer’s Music Magazines

Bauer create the music magazine ‘Q’, the UK’s biggest selling music monthly magazine, the Q brand has developed a worldwide reputation as a trusted and premium quality voice of musical authority amongst fans, musicians and the music industry alike - one that is founded upon Q's unrivalled access, world-beating exclusives and outstanding production values. Q sells 52,781 magazines a month.

Bauer also create the music magazine ‘MOJO’, ‘MOJO’ is the world’s largest UK music magazine, delivering a monthly dose of world class journalism and iconic photography to an audience of extremely passionate music consumers. ‘MOJO’ magazine sells 94,600 magazines a month and currently has 211,000 readership with the mean age of the readers being 37 years of age with 66% of those being in the audience code A,B,C 1.

Immediate Media Co.

Immediate Media Co is an award-winning special interest content and platform company. Immediate Media are one of the biggest consumer media businesses in the UK and the third largest magazine publisher.

Immediate Media was founded when private equity house Exponent merged media business Magicalia with Origin Publishing and a portfolio of BBC magazine titles bought for £121m in 2011. Immediate Media has 36 websites, 58 magazines and more than 70 brands reaching 25m people a month. It has more than 1m subscribers and its titles include the Radio Times and BBC’s Gardeners’ World. Tom Bureau, 45, became chief executive after the merger, and raised profits to £13.8m in 2013.
