Strengths of front cover

• I think the strengths of my front cover where that I had a image that related to my main coverline. My image was of a student standing against a picture of nature and my main coverline was ‘take a walk with nature’. Another strength was that I had the right amount of coverlines which filled the front page of my school magazine. For the name of the magazine I picked ‘Rules4Schools’. I thought this was a good name as I thought it fitted perfectly with the concept of the magazine as it is a school magazine.

Weaknesses of front cover

• The first weakness of my front cover is that the colour scheme could have been a little better as I used 3 colours that didn’t really go to well together. Another weakness is that I didn’t use any graphic features which are used to grab the audiences’ attention. I also didn’t use many buzzwords which are also used to grab the audiences attention, so if I did use the then it would of followed the codes and conventions of a front cover of a magazine.

Strengths of my contents page

• I think one of my strengths of my contents page is that I used the space very well and I used different columns which is good for the reader to know what bits of the magazine are where. Another strength is that I had a lot of interesting coverlines which would draw the reader in the reading each story.

Weaknesses of contents page

• Weaknesses of my school magazine contents page is that the images that I included on the page didn’t relate to any of my feature articles which didn’t really give an insight for the audience into what the articles where about. Another weakness is that the contents page colour scheme didn’t match with the front cover which is a code and convention which the colour scheme should stay the same throughout the whole magazine.
