The members of the Henry J. Jones VFW Ladies ' auxiliary met at the Veterans ' hall Thursday for a social evening, including re- freshments. Mrs. Estelle Fink , Suffolk County president , will be guest-of-honor at the meeting of the auxiliary February 2»i . In- spection will also be held. INGS, 83, a former resident ofPatehogue, died suddenly at herresidence, at 71 East Third street .New York city, last Thursday.

Born in Ireland, Mrs. Cumm-ings had lived in this vicinity forabout 20 years before moving toNew York city about seven yearsago.

She is survived by two daugh-ters, Mrs. Arthur Tompkirfs ofPatehogue and Mrs. Frank Ro-mano of New York city; twosons, Edwa rd G. Cumming* andJohn T. Cummings, both of NewYork city; eight grandchildrenand 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at1 p. m. Monday at the PcttitFuneral home in Patehogue withthe Rev. Wesley. D. Osborne, pas-tor of the Patehogue Methodistchurch, officiating, and intermentfollowed at Washington MemorialPark cemetery in Coram.

ERNEST H. HILLIGER. 60. otLong Island avenue. Holtsville,died suddenly of a heart attackwhile making a bakery delivery toGarbarino's grocery store on Rail-road avenue, Sayville, last Thurs-day.

Born in Germany, he had beenin this country over 40 years, andfor the past five years had re-sided in Holtsville. He had livedpreviously in Queens. He was aroute salesman for the Continen-tal Baking company.
