• 9 economies have provided trainers

• highest engagement in 2016 from Japan, Thailand and Australia

• newcomer trainers from Cambodia, Thailand & Philippines

• 7 economies have hosted trainings

• highest engagement in 2016 from Korea, and Thailand

• continuous support as in 2014/2015 from: China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand

• MEDEA 2.0 incorporated into planning framework of BMZ, but no

final approval, yet

• significantly smaller budget than current MEDEA project; hence,

need for priority setting

• evaluation of MEDEA I in first half of 2017, possibly in conjunction

with Joint APMP/APLMF Workshop, scheduled for May 2017

• MEDEA 2.0 expected to start early 2018 (4-year phase, i.e. until

end of 2021)
