WHY MECESA?

BACKGROUND: since 1952, Mecesa supplies mechanical components for industrial instrumentation lines. As a result of

his successful career, in 1968, MECESA was awarded with the supply of the instrumentation components for erection of

the 1st Nuclear Power Plant in Spain, friendly known as "Zorita NPP".

Thereafter, Mecesa has been involved in the erection and the subsequent maintenance of all nuclear plants built in Spain.

QUALITY: Strong and robust quality system, according to ISO 9001 for industrial requirements (since 1996) and

UNE73.401 (since 1995) for nuclear requirements.

All valves, manifolds and condensate pots are tested and certified one by one to.

FULL TRACEABILITY: The certificates of origin and features of raw materials (Europe or USA) and all processes of

manufacturing, testing, storing and delivery are recorded with all details. All related documentation is stored in a

fireproof room and is available for customers until decommissioning of the NPP.

The standard manufactured products are:

FITTINGS: up to 2", with connection: double ferrule compression, threaded or welded. Materials acc. to ASME/EN and

available for all applications (lock, union, adapter, reduction, dielectric union, etc.) with all designs (plug, tee, elbow,

cross, straight, for panel, etc.)

VALVES: needle, ball, check, gauge or membrane, rating up to 10.000PSI, connection: double ferrule compression,

threaded or welded. Material acc. to ASME/EN and a wide range of designs and options (purge, seat, control, CV

micrometric control, PTFE/Graphite, straight or "L" design, for panel, gauge, etc.)

MANIFOLDS: from 1 to 6 valve configurations, rating up to 10000PSI, connection: double ferrule compression, threaded,

welded or with flange. Materials acc. to ASME/EN and a wide range of options and designs (monoflange compact, with

one or two purges, actuator, PTFE/Graphite, ball stem end/ cone stem end, etc.). All operation schemes and designs are

fully compatible with leading manufacturers of transmitters.

PROCESS INTERFACE VALVES – DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED (DBB): 6000PSI, connection: flange, threaded or welded.

Materials acc. to ASME/EN, PTFE/Graphite, etc.

CONDENSATE POTS / COLLECTORS: 600ºF/3625PSI, design according to service conditions or specifications informed by

customer, materials ASME/EN, connections threaded or welded, with hydrostatic test acc. to EN 10.204 3.1 as standard

and optional tests/certificates: radiograph test for welded parts, penetrant liquids test, etc.

TUBING AND PIPING: some of the most reputed European or North American brands are distributed by MECESA to

deliver complete instrumentation packages acc. to ASME/EN (ASTM A269, A213, A335, A790, B625, B626, B67 7, B68,

etc.)

SAFETY DEVICES: under strict manufacture, performance and quality specifications, MECESA develops and manufactures
