What is the 514G & 564G?

514G and 564G Full ImmersionThe Mecair 514G and 564G systems are the replacement for the Mecair 514 and 564 series of Full Immersion filter cleaning systems.

The 514G is mounted to an Ø8” tank and the 564G is mounted to a Ø6” tank.

Recently, engineers at Pentair Environmental Systems updated the design of the Mecair Full Immersion range. The 514 and 564 were included in the update, and the 514 G and 564G are now in the process of release.

The 514G and 564G are an updated full immersion design based on the Goyen 1.5” 45 Series double diaphragm pulse valves. The Goyen 45 series valves have been in production since 1992 with well over 1,000,000 valves installed worldwide. This upgrade results in greater durability and higher operating pressures.

- Provide the same flow rates as the 514/564.

- Achieve greater durability when compared to the 514/564.

- Operate at higher pressure than the 514/564 (8.6bar instead of 7.5 bar)

- Be more responsive to the electrical signal than the 514/564.

- Use the same mounting dimensions and manifold designs as the 514/564.

The 514G and 564G are dimensional replacements for the 514 and 564.

514G/564G Diaphragm• A significant difference between the Mecair

514/564, and the Mecair 514/564G valves is the diaphragm design.

• The514/564G uses the diaphragm assembly and materials of the Goyen 1.5” 45 series pulse valves. This diaphragm construction has a 20 year history in general and gas turbine filter cleaning applications.

• The Goyen diaphragm design results in greater durability, higher operating pressures and improved performance.

As tested, the 514G and 564G delivers the same flow rates as the 514 and 564, but is more responsive to the electrical signal, offering some reduction in the use of compressed air.

1. The peak pressure developed by the valve is the same for the 514G/564G and 514/564.

2. The 514G/564G closes approximately 15 ms sooner allowing better control of air consumption.

NOTE:The 564G and the 514G are the same valves. The 514G is fitted to an 8” diameter manifold, and the 564G is fitted to a 6” diameter manifold.

The 514G/564G provides the same filter cleaning flowrates and filter cleaning performance as the 514/564 based systems.

The 514G/564G is interchangeable with the 514/564 on existing headers.

The 514G/564G allows closer spacing than 514/564 on new header designs.

Note: domed tank ends are no longer available for these systems.

- The 514G/564G System uses the same tank brackets as the 514/564.

- The 514G/564G uses the same pipe outlets as the 514/564.

- The 514G/564G uses the same pilot assemblies as the 514/564.

Installation of the 514G and 564G cleaning systems is the same as for the 514 and 564

systems.
