Summary Meat Animals Production, Disposition, and Income: Final Estimates by State, 2013-2017, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Statistics Board, National Agricultural Statistics Service, Statistical Bulletin No. 1059. Introduction: This bulletin presents final estimates, including revisions made by the Agricultural Statistics Board (ASB), for the production years 2013 through 2017. The production, disposition, and income from meat animals for 2013-2017 were published during calendar years 2014-2018. Data included in this publication provide a historic record and a benchmark for current estimates. Procedures: Revisions were made after a thorough review of the original survey data and all additional data now available, including the 2017 Census of Agriculture. Other data series considered included slaughter data, shipment records, imports, exports, and any other available administrative information. The 2013-2017 estimates shown herein are considered final and will not be revised again. At the National level, revisions to estimates of meat animals production and gross income were less than one percent for cattle and less than one percent for hogs.
