1. Leg height (measure standing)

At the outside of the leg fromthe ground to the splintboneknob and at the back from theground highly into the hollowof the knee (top knob - top hollow of the knee).CAUTION! These two measures must be equal, otherwise they were not takencorrectly!

2. Crook of knee(measure sitting)

Measure in the hollow of theknee off the splintbone knob(top knob - top hollow of theknee).CAUTION! Both legs must beplaced right-angled and looselyon the ground.

3. Calf outline(measure sitting)

Measure the thickest outline ofthe calf – don't pull the tapetoo tight!CAUTION! Both legs must beplaced right-angled and looselyon the ground.

8. Ankle outlineFor boots that should fit tightlyaround the ankle, the outline ofthe upper ankle (10 cm abovethe ankle) and the ankel shouldbe measured as well. CAUTION! (8) Measure thesmallest outline of the ankle,above the knob.

How to take the correct measures for Petrie's riding boots so that optimum comfort and a good fitform is achieved.

GeneralTake measures over riding-breeches and socks, using the original Petrie measuring tape. Do not pull the tape too tight. Note the achieved measures in the corresponding place at the measure sheet.CAUTION! Do not confound left and right!

8d. Foot lengthAlways indicate the measuresin centimeters. In case of measure-made boots afootprint in fitfoam* must besent in with the measure sheet. Therewith an exact footbed canbe produced. For that your customer will be grateful!
