Maybe some other bars and grills would like to add to the collection each and everyone counts. We hope to hear soon if we have col- lected enough to purchase another chair. Thank you so very much to each and everyone who helped to make this proj- ect so great. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! If you have any tabs please give us a call 378-6588 or drop them off at the Hos- pital Thrift Shop. Many many thanks to each and everyone. Allan & Ruth Steffens. Another chance for NV Thunder midgets While the regular lacrosse season ended the week before last, the midget level team played this past weekend for the chance to go to provincials in Prince George at the end of the month. The first game Saturday at the Shulus arena against the North Ok Legends went in our favour, 6 to 1. But the 2nd game, against the Shuswap Outlaws, went the other way: 11 to 2, for them. The Thunder played the Outlaws again yes- terday in Salmon Arm, and it was closer: 6 to 4 for them. But there was a problem with the operators of the shot clock, and after continual delays of the game, refs & players alike were frustrated. If the whole thing had been run as per league regulations, our boys might have won. After the game, the NVMLA filed a formal protest and the midget commis- sioner ruled that Shuswap should forfeit the game. So the Thunder will get an- other chance to go to provincials, next weekend, in the Nicola Valley, time TBA.
