The proposed project will place a tower and equipment shelter at the site immediately adjacent to the fire station. Table 1: Mead Valley Communication Site Surrounding Land Uses The site is located in a semirural area, generally comprised of large lots with residential structures, outbuildings, and inter-dispersed vacant areas. The area is slowly converting from an agricultural area to a more urbanized environment. The site is located immediately adjacent to the recently constructed County Fire Station 59. The Columbia Elementary School lies approximately 500 feet to the south of the project site, along Clark Street. Topography and Vegetation The general topography of the area is flat. The site has been thoroughly disturbed, and vegetation at the site is entirely landscaped with non-native plants and gravel ground cover. Land Ownership and Applicable Habitat/Land Management Plan The site is owned and managed by Riverside County and is subject to the WRMSHCP. The site is located within the “Mead Valley” Area Plan, and does not fall within a Criteria Cell. Additionally, the site is located within a fee area for the SKRHCP. Road Access Access is available from Clark Street, immediately west of the site. Commercial Power Access Commercial power is available from the adjacent fire station, or from an adjacent pole line that runs along Clark Street. Mead Valley Communication Site

Overview
