Parks has made history with incredible feats of endurance. In 2011, he became the first person to climb the highest mountain on each of the world’s seven continents and reach the three extreme points of the Earth (the North Pole, the South Pole and Mt. Everest) in the Three Poles Challenge. In 2014, Parks became the fastest British man in history to ski solo, unsupported and unassisted, from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole. Hear his inspiring story as he shares, in his own special way, some of the tools that enable him to achieve the near-impossible.

MARY FENWICK l It’s Not About the MoneyAfter her husband’s unexpected death, Mary Fenwick found that money was tied up with too much emotion. That was when her agent stepped up to help her and her family. Fenwick will share her story to illustrate why the role of an agent is not just about the transaction of selling a product, it’s about building a relationship over time. Selling a life insurance policy is one thing, but helping sort out the mess when there’s been an unexpected death is what is truly important. Fenwick is an advice columnist for Psychologies magazine, and she draws on her own experiences to help people acquire the skills needed to build enduring and genuine relationships.

ROSS BERNSTEIN l Leadership Lessons from ChampionsRoss Bernstein is a best-selling author of nearly 50 sports books and an award-winning speaker on peak-performance. Bernstein spent the better part of the past 20 years studying championship sports teams. What he found is that great leaders inspire greatness by doing whatever it takes to make their teammates better, and that’s why we choose to follow them. The same characteristics found among peak performers in sports are also common in peak performers in business. Bernstein will teach you how to grow your practice by separating yourself from the competition using the “good to great” concepts of dynamic servant leadership, creating a culture of excellence, building deeper relationships and giving extraordinary customer service.

PHIL HANSEN l Embrace the ShakePhil Hansen was on his way to fulfilling a career dream of becoming an artist. However, in high school, severe nerve damage caused him to give up that dream. He later returned to his dream by embracing his limitations and making them work for his art. Hansen will share a different way of looking at the limitations we face and how it is possible to find ways to use limitations to propel us to succeed. Hansen has been a keynote speaker for a diverse range of groups, including TED2013 and The Nobel Peace Laureates World Summit. As a commercial artist, he has worked with a variety of clients that include the Grammys, Disney, Skype, Mazda and the Rockefeller Foundation.

ADELIA CHUNG, CLU, CHFC, and SPENCER DUNG l An Unexpected JourneyAdelia Chung has been in the financial services business for more than 30 years. Her son, Spencer Dung, is following in her footsteps, albeit along his own path. He attended the University of California, San Diego, where he received his bachelor’s in economics, and is currently an assistant vice president of Foresters Financial. This dynamic mother-son team has an amazing amount of applicable information to share. They will show you that while times have changed, the fundamentals of the business have remained the same, and there really are basic transferrable principles for success.
