Tianjin Medical University

Tianjin Medical University (TMU) is Sister University Of OXFORD UNIVERSITY UK, the first medical university to come into existence after the foundation of People’s Republic of China. The history of Zhejiang University School of Medicine can be traced back to t he Chekiang Provincial College of Medicine founded in 1912 and the National Chekiang University Medicine College founded in 1945. The two merged in 1952 and established the Zhejiang Medical College, which was then upgraded as Zhejiang Medical University in 1960. In 1998 it was merged with Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University and Zhejiang Agriculture University to re-establish the present Zhejiang University, and reorganize School of Medicine and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the following year. In 2009 Zhejiang University launched “Super Ministry Reform”, reorganized School of Medicine and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences again, two of which are rebuilt as Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Thus, a century has witnessed Zhejiang University School of Medicine, although with several changes of name and place, evolving into one of the most prestigious medical schools in the nation.

The School of Medicine is composed of 7 faculties: Basic Medicine, Public Health, First Clinical Medicine, Second Clinical Medicine, Third Clinical Medicine, , Stomatology and Nursing. Apart from these academic faculties, there are 7affiliated hospitals， and the Forth Affiliated Hospital which is located in Yiwu city was announced opening on Oct.31st, 2014. HistoryTbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by notable Georgian physician, pediatric surgeon, Petre Shotadze. After graduation of Tbilisi State Medical University in 1970, whole his doctoral, scientific and academic activities were connected to Tbilisi State Institute of Postgraduate Education for Physicians, where he went from being a postgraduate student to the Head of Pediatric Surgery and to the Rector. In 1999, following the demise of Dr. Shotadze, Tbilisi Medical Academy was renamed as “Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy”. Since its foundation, TMA has grown up more then 1700 graduates who work successfully in leading Georgian and International Hospitals, Universities and Scientific Centres.

Mission and Goal of Academy:

Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy is a self-governed higher

education institution – a teaching university, with highly qualified

academic and staff, which conducts its activities in accordance with all

applicable laws and TMA regulations.

TMA provides two educational programs: 6 years Medicine (English) and

Medicine (Georgian).

TMA, as a student-oriented higher education institution, primarily seeks to teach and develop national and international healthcare

professionals in an innovative manner by using evidence-based knowledge, whilst practically benefiting the community in Georgia

through research-based outreach activities.

The main Goal of Academy is to elaborate independent and critical thinking, scientific reasoning abilities, and reasonable judgments

among students, in order to support their development into highly qualified specialists.

The main objectives of TMA are:

Stavropol State Medical University was founded in 1938.

Since that time thousands of highly skilled specialists

administrative, industrial, agricultural, scientific and

cultural centre – the city of Stavropol which is

considered a pearl of the South of Russia. Throughout

Stavropol State Medical University is one of the few

Russian medical universities recognized by the Medical

Council of India. The University is listed in the World

Directory of Medical Schools published by the World Health Organization (WHO) which enables our graduates to hold a job in

any country of the world after taking national examinations. The activity of the University has been marked by high

international award “Earthmaker”, which testifies belonging to community of world leaders of various industries, sciences,

cultures and national health services. It is awarded with the Diploma and the Gold Medal as the winner of the competitions

“The European Quality” in the nomination of “100 Best Higher Schools”, the Kannes Silver Medal “For Dynamic

Development” and the title “Flagman of XXI Century”, the Gold Medal of the International Biography Center and the Gold

Diploma of the World Sciences International Forum, the winner of the All-Russia Economy Project “Modernization Leaders” in

the nomination “Enterprise of the Year 2010”.

Within 50 years the University trains foreign students. During this time the University has prepared 1,200 physicians,

residents and interns for 77 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Stavropol State Medical University is listed in

the World Directory of medical schools published by the World Health Organization (WHO) that gives the chance to

graduates to get a job in any country of the world after passing the national exam.

In 2005, the English-speaking Medium was opened in the University, where the training is conducted in English. The

University has the modern material and technical base, allowing to provide a high educational level. Four buildings of the

University are equipped with modern learning and medical technics, computer classes, and electronic library.

Stavropol StateMedical University

The history of the higher medical school in Kharkiv is more than 200

years long and closely connected with the history of V. N. Karazin

Kharkiv National University, because it sprang from its Medical

Faculty. The University was founded in 1805, a decree about its

foundation was signed by the Russian Tsar Alexander I, and the first

Statutes of the University were approved at that time.

In the 19th century, widely known doctors and scientists taught at

the medical faculty of the university and worked in practical

medicine. It was them who, for the first time in the Russian Empire,

performed operations of ovariotomy, total resection of the stomach,

operations on the open heart, as well as made significant scientific

discoveries. In 1887, a special building was erected for the

anatomical theatre of the Medical Faculty (now it houses the

Department of Human Anatomy of our higher school); in 1896, four

independent University clinics were built, namely: therapeutic,

surgical, obstetrical and ophthalmological.

Zaporizhzhia State Medical University is a modern, multi-profile

higher education institution of the 4th level of accreditation with the

The history of Zaporizhzhia State Medical University comes back to

the Women Pedagogic Courses organized in Odessa in 1903.

In 1959 the Pharmaceutical Institute was transferred from Odessa to

Zaporizhzhia and renamed in Zaporizhzhia Pharmaceutical Institute,

and in 1968 — in Zaporizhzhia Medical Institute.

The college offers a five-year course of study, approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), leading to a

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from SUST. After passing the final professional examination, there

is a compulsory one-year internship. The internship is a prerequisite for obtaining registration from the BMDC to practice

Recently, the Indian Medical Association published a report on the participation of graduates of medical schools outside India in 2019: “country / Institute wise performance in FMGE - 2019”. In 2019, 28587 medical college graduates from 327 universities in 49 countries participated in the Indian Medical licensing examination. A total of 7375 students passed the examination, with a total passing rate of 25.79% Tianjin Medical University has 63 international students taking the examination, and 52 students are qualified, with a pass rate of 82.54% . Among the universities with more than two-digit graduates, it ranks first in the world and the first in China.
