• MDC has the largest undergraduate enrollment of any college or university in the country & awards more associate degrees than any other college in the nation.
• MDC enrolled 92,085 credit students in academic year 2014-15.• MDC enrolled 9,000 Adult Education students (ESOL and GED)• MDC enrolls more minority students than any college or university in
the U.S.• Hispanics are 71% of our credit enrollment, and Black non-Hispanics
are 17%. 49,552 (72%) students were U.S. Citizens in Fall 2014. MDC's non-citizen students come from at least 150 countries and speak approximately 76 different languages.

Goalsu To assist adult learners obtain postsecondary certificates and achieve gains quicker than when they
are enrolled in traditional adult education programs.
u To increase the number of students that earn their high school equivalency diploma and begin the pathway to earn credentials that have labor market value.

Initial Contact With Student
u If students have the qualifying TABE scores we target them from the initial intake-registration process
u Present motivational Orientation workshops to assure students are aware of our FICAPS programs
Subsequent Contact With Potential Students
u We create a list of qualifying students and contact students by phone and/or email to inform them about FICAPS
u If students show interest we set-up appointments with students
u Counsel students individually about FICAPS and financial assistance options
