4. First Aid Measures Inhalation: Move from the exposed area immediately, supply artificial respiration

if necessary. If symptoms persist seek medical attention. Skin Contact: If still liquid wipe of with disposable towel. Once dried, nitrocellulose

film can be removed by pealing off. Use acetone or collodion remover to help with removal if needed.

Eye Contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lens, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. (P305+P351+P338) If eye irritation persists get medical attention. (P337+P313)

Ingestion: If swallowed, drink two glasses of water to dilute. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Notes for Doctor:

There are no antidotes for this material, treatment is based on symptoms.

5. Fire Fighting Measures

Extinguishing Media:

In case of fire: Use Dry Chemical or CO2 for extinguishing. (P370+P378) For surrounding fire such as dry chemical for small fire, use carbon dioxide, water fog and dry chemical.

Special Hazards:

Closed containers can explode due to buildup of pressure when exposed to extreme heat. Do not use direct stream of water on pool fires as product may re-ignite on water surface. Caution - Material is extremely flammable!

Hazardous Combustion

Products:

Smoke, fumes, hydrocarbons and oxides of carbon.

6. Accidental Release Measures

Personal Protection Equipment:

Wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection. (P280) If misting occurs, use appropriate respiratory protection.

Non Emergency Personnel:

Leave the immediate area; prevent smoking or open flames, turnoff all electrical equipment without generating sparks. Use natural ventilation (open doors or window) avoid sparks and ignition sources.

Emergency Responders:

Carefully ventilate the area avoid sparks and ignition sources. Firefighters must wear full face piece self - contained breathing apparatus in positive pressure mode. Do not use solid stream of water since stream will scatter and spread fire. Fine water spray can be used to keep fire - exposed containers cool.

Environmental Precautions:

Keep away for heat, sparks and open flames.

Methods & Materials for Containment/Cleanup:

Flush the area with water, ventilate with large volumes of outside air, avoid generating sparks, heat or flames.

Other information: Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Reference to other: Sections:

See section 7 for safe handling precautions and personal protective equipment.

7. Handling and Storage

Precautions for Safe Handling:

Store in tightly closed containers. Store in a well ventilated area. Store in approved Flammable Liquid cabinet. Keep room temperature 28ºC (82º F) or below. (P403+P235)

Protective Measures: Keep in room temperature 28ºC (82º F) or below and dry areas. Fire Prevention: Keep away from flames and hot surfaces-No Smoking (P210) Aerosol & Dust Generation Prevention:

None applicable

Handling considerations:

Keep container tightly closed. (P233) Ground/bond container and receiving equipment. (P240) Use Proper air purification system to remove fumes, or Use explosion proof electrical/ventilating/lighting equipment. (P241) Use only non sparking tools. (P242) Take precautionary measures against static discharge. (P243)

Safe Storage: Store in original labeled container. Keep in room temperature 28ºC (82º F) or below and in dry areas.

General Hazards: Product is extremely flammable. Products of combustion include: smoke, fumes, hydrocarbons and oxides of carbon. Vapors may cause a flash fire or ignite explosively. Vapors may travel a considerable distance to a source of ignition and flash back.

8. Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Exposure Controls: Follow all manufactures instructions. Engineering Controls:

Use in well ventilated area, assess atmosphere for potential flammable levels.

Safety Equipment: Safety eye bath nearby. Eye and Face Protection:

Splash goggles with side shields.

Skin Protection: Neoprene or rubber gloves with cuffs. Respiratory Protection:

If misting occurs, use appropriate respiratory protection.

Thermal Hazards: Vapors may cause a flash fire or ignite explosively. Vapors may travel a considerable distance to a source of ignition and flash back.
