Lioness Report

Printed by Westonprint Pty Ltd Unit 3, 3 Brown Street, Kiama NSW 2533 Ph: 02 4232 1999

Thank you again to all the Lioness who sent me their reports this month. I’m sorry I couldn’t

make the Convention this year, family commitments made it impossible. By all accounts it was a great Convention and every one enjoyed themselves. Especially the dinner on Saturday night.

Congratulations to Liverpool Lioness for their award for Lioness Club of the Year. Well done ladies. Also congratulations to Camden and Wollongong for being awarded joint winners of the Best Bulletin Award, Shoalhaven Lioness hosted a Lovely Ladies luncheon last month. Thank you for inviting me. It was a lovely luncheon and I enjoyed myself.

I’m sorry I was unable to make a visit to

Eden Lioness but I will make it up to you when I visit in November. Your catering projects have been doing very well, Congratulations.

Well done Wollongong Lioness for your ongoing BBQ's and all the knitting you ladies do. Thank you for assisting Wollongong Lions with organizing the convention.

Liverpool Lioness are doing well also with their BBQ's and knitting. The club also work very hard doing community service.

Oak Flats have knitted 72 beanies for Mission Without Borders. They are also knitting for cancer patients and under privileged children.

Camden Lioness are still doing well with their raffles twice a month at the Camden Valley Inn. They have also sold chocolates as a fund raiser. They are in the process of buying a second Nimbo Walker for a 3 year old Camden boy.

Well done to all the Lioness clubs in our district. Keep up the good work. You are all amazing.

Lioness Coordinator Lioness Lyn Fawcett.

NEW HEARING DOG for BATEMANS BAY LIONS CLUB

Printed by Westonprint Pty Ltd Unit 3, 3 Brown Street, Kiama NSW 2533 Ph: 02 4232 1999

BATEMANS BAY LIONS CLUB, has welcomed little LUNA as a new addition for their newest Member Roseanna McClifty, who was inducted by the District Governor Sally Wilton on 6th October, 2015. LUNA is a Papillion cross, and was delivered to Roseanna on the 26th October, and has settled in well.

The Trainer Mary Knight first introduced Luna, to Roseanna, in September, and they worked for 5 days together during that time, to make sure that Luna and Roseanna settled together as a Team.

As Hearing Dog Chairman for this year, I have had the opportunity to see these dogs work with their new owners, and there have been a couple of Sound Field Systems installed into Primary Schools during the last few months, the latest of these was installed at St. Paul’s Catholic Primary School, in Camden, congratulations to Camden Lions Club for their support of this project.

Assisting with the Hearing Dog program has been very rewarding this year, and I would like to thank those Clubs who patronised the Hearing Dog Stand at the recent N2 Convention with their support of purchasing items, this money assists to train these Hearing Dogs for the Hearing impaired., this program would not be the success it is without the support of you the members, thank you.
