BOE January Unofficial Highlights
BOE February Agenda
Superintendent’s Comments What makes the difference?
There are many variables that
impact the “quality” of our
schools and the number one,
most important factor is the peo-
ple. McLouth School District is
very fortunate to have many dedi-
cated employees, parents, and
community members. This is so
evident when I see volunteers
who read with our students
and who helps with other
classroom activities. I would
encourage any community
member who likes children to
become a school volunteer.
There is a saying, “100 years
from now, it will matter not
what kind of car you drove,
what kind of house you lived
in, nor how much you had in
your bank account. But the
world will be a little better
because you were important in
the life of a child.”
Thank you for your time to
making the lives of our chil-
dren better.

We got rid of the old Bull Pup Schedule due
to the snow days. Please check the Bull Pup
Bulletin to determine when your child is the
Bull Pup. If you are bringing them to school
try to be here before 8:00 so they have
time to put their things in the showcase. If
they are late we may have them read the
announcements then put their things in the
case. If they eat breakfast here we would
like for them to do that first then we can
adjust within the time limit we have before
school. That way we do not have 200 stu-
dents waiting on someone to get to the
purple gym.
TESTING, TESTING, TESTING No we did
not get a new sound system it is that time
of year again. State assessments will be
starting in March for the elementary school.

On January 7, Elementary students in grades
three, four and five as well as Middle School
students, battled to be named champion of
their school’s Spelling Bee. Each round the
announcer would share words wondering if
they could be spelled correctly. Elimination
was a difficult thing. Students lasted
through many rounds
of words, spelling
each one correctly
until one letter would
send them to the seat
in the audience. The
final round came and
was hard fought.
The E lementary
School champion is
fifth grader, Julia
Johnston, and Brakson Ping, became the
Spelling Bee Winners Thank you to eve-
rybody for your
donations to the
library. They are
very much appreci-
ated. We would

thank the Vaught
