ENDLESS OPPORTUNITY EVENT — VOLUME II

Page 2: McKay Cattle Co. Endless Opportunity Event, Vol. II

M-

I would like to welcome you to the second annual “Endless Opportunity Event” that will be held Saturday, June 25th, 12 noon

at the ranch near Orlando, Oklahoma. We have stacked the genetics deep with proven donors, bred heifers, herd bulls,

embryos and pregnancies. We are able to offer such an elite set of genetics because of our intense E.T. and A.I. programs.

Once again I have put in proven, productive females, including many being donors that are hard to let go; they have made a

living for us and will do the same for you. I really dug deep into the young females—especially the bred heifers—to offer you

a rare combination of genetics that combine power and style.

I like cattle that are stout boned, big bodied and square hipped with added look and style and feel that this set of females

exemplifies those traits. These females are mated to bulls that will work and produce progeny that will not only be highly

marketable but can be retained in your herd as high-end replacement bulls or females.

We added a twist this year with four powerful bulls that stem from the most powerful cow families we have. They are semen

tested and ready for heavy service.

I would like to invite you to come early and be with us Friday, June 26th, to view the sale cattle. Our Friday evening gathering

will again include a crawfish boil, refreshments and live entertainment. This will once again be a good time for all, and I look

forward to visiting with current and new customers. If you have any questions about the offering, don’t hesitate to call.

Lastly, I would like to thank my crew for all of their hard work throughout the year, as they do put in a lot of long hours. I

could not do all I do without the support of my family—my wife, Stacy, our son, Denver, and daughters, Berkley and Kamdyn.

Thank you! I appreciate all of your support.

MCKY–Begalka 5005The 5005 Clones at McKay Cattle Co.

Lots 2–8 descend from the immortal and now-deceased donor MCKY–Begalka 5005. To date,5005 has amassed nearly $450,000 in progeny sales (including live and frozen), making her one of the most prolific donors in both the McKay and Begalka herds. McKay thought so muchof this prolific donor that he cloned 5005.

Phenotypically, 5005 would stop you dead in your tracks, as she was one of the best built beefanimals I ever had the opportunity to appraise. If you like cattle with bone, body and correctmuscle pattern combined with a feminine look, 5005 would be your kind of female! The red-and-white pattern she displayed certainly made her stand out in a crowd. More important thanher good looks, she was a flat out producer. In last year’s Inaugural Endless Opportunity Event,a direct daughter sired by Made Right commanded $15,000 to Young Cattle Co. in Texas, anda set of full sib embryos to the Yellow Jacket embryos selling commanded $1,800 per embryofor a total valuation of $5,400. In total, 5005’s progeny sales commanded in excess of $45,000in last year’s Endless Opportunity Event.

What a pair of flush mate sisters that combine bone, hip, body and power in a cool, well designed package! If youhave been searching for a power donor that combines aproven pedigree with exceptional phenotype, here liestwo predictable females. You can see the resemblance to5005 in this pair of direct daughters. Combined with thepower of Yellow Jacket, this mating flat out works. Noteven four years of age, these females offer an opportunityto add proven, predictable genetics to your herd withcattle that are young and just getting ready to hit theirpeak years of production. Only because both of thesefemales have been flushed successfully via IVF is McKayletting this pair of sisters leave the ranch. It is hard for any operation to part with cattle of this caliber. Takeadvantage of this Endless Opportunity.

“Wow!” is what you will be saying when you lay your eyes on this direct daughter of 5005. 4220 is onepowerfully constructed beast, built right from the ground up. This eye-catching female is huge boned, bighipped, beautiful in her lines, sound, great haired and as cool fronted as you make one. This future donor will be one to watch out for when she hits production and winds up in your donor pen. Her ability to producehigh-end show steers, herd bulls and future donors is endless. Come see this one in person…you will not bedisappointed. McKay thought enough of this female that he flushed her IVF, and she is a big egg producer.

If you are in the business of raising the slick shearkind, pay attention here. 4222 is a female thatMcKay believes has a world of potential, as she issuper long fronted and perfect in her underline. As a weaned calf, 4222 captured the eye of some ofthe most astute professionals in the club calfbusiness, hoping she was a steer. Ready for theRide, a maternal brother, sold as a bull calf toLautner and Yocham in the spring of 2015. McKaythought so much of this female that he flushed hervia IVF as a virgin heifer. That shows you theconfidence he has in her ability to produce slickshear steers that will not only command top dollarbut will be highly competitive in the show ring.

Proclaimed by many to be the best looking purebred Hoodoo female to ever surface, and to top it off, 3401 has been one of the top dollargenerating donors over the past two and a half years for McKay CattleCo. Her progeny flat out get the job done. Whether you are talkingabout high-end show steers, donors or promotional bulls, 3401 is a no-miss donor. A daughter sold as Lot 13 in last year’s event and was thehigh seller, commanding $21,000 to the Burnett Family; a set of full sibembryos to Lot 9A brought $1,800 to Wohlers Cattle Co.

3401 has produced several herd bulls, donors and steers that havecommanded top dollar. Just this past spring, she produced three steersat $20,000 each, a bull at $40,000 and another steer at $40,000. Prior to this spring, her progeny have commanded $40,000, $30,000, four at$20,000, $10,000, $7,000 and $5,000. Many of her progeny have sold tothose who earn their living in the cattle business; we certainly appreciatetheir business and their faith in 3401’s genetics, including Ray Cattle Co., Tusa Cattle Co., Burnett Family, Wohlers Cattle Co., Adam Potts, Brock Wallace, Shout Show Cattle, Skip Adams and the Skiles Family.
