The responses herein are made under compulsion of the referenced letter and S104(e) of CERCLA, The responses are not to be construed as admissions of fact or concessions of law by MoDonnell Douglas Corporation or its divisions or any of its officers, agente or omployaaa. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing statement, McDonnell Douglas specifically does nut by this response concede that any waste from McDonnell Douglas-Tulsa or any other division was, in fact, disposed of at the site or that any waste constituted a hazardous waste or hazardous substances or that there has been a release or threatened celease of «ny «och eubatanc*** erom thi facility, or that any such substances have caused, are causing or will cause any threat or imminent hazard to the public health or the •nvironment such that it has been or will be necessary to incur roaponse costs. The procedure i s to dumpthis material into drums and al low to s e t t l e ,l i q u i d s are then pumped off and d i s p o s e d of byother methods . T h i s leaves a low l iquid content.Present rate: 1.2 drums per week.

    Oil s l u d g e : The used oil is p l a c e d in drums andal l owed to s e t t l e . The l iquid por t i on i s thenpumped of f and d i s po s ed of by other methods . Theremains consist of the dirt w i t h i n the oil thatcannot be p u m p e d .Present rate: 0.3 drums per week.
