80 students in MCA program out of the batch of 120 students are admitted through a scientifically designed thorough process of screening and test ing compris ing Management Entrance Test (MET) conducted by one of the Universities of Punjab for Punjab Technical University (PTU), Punjabi University and Guru Nanak Dev University.

The admission to the remaining 40 management quota seats is done through a systematic and transparent selection process.

Three year full time MCA program at GJ-IMT is well designed to develop and nurture techno-savvy students, who can add value to the organisations in a professional manner.

The students are given ample time to develop their technical skills by good amount of lab hours. The teaching pedagogy involves brain-storming sessions on analytical & technical aptitude skills alongwith practical assignments on conceptual knowledge for the overall development.

Students are provided with enough hands-on experience in the lab. CISCO Certified Labs are equipped with state-of-the-art servers and 275 PCs of Latest configuration, connected by LAN.

Students are given unlimited access to the internet through Leased Line as well as broadband multiple connections which ensure survivability, to update their own lexicon of techno-stuff.

Licenced softwares are held as per AICTE requirements by having a campus agreement with Microsoft. Open source softwares are also being used appropriately.

At GJ-IMT the focal point is on continuous learning. GJ-IMT promotes and provides a platform to the students to showcase their spirit, talent, hard work and their skills, to continuously acquire new and better forms of technical knowledge. We emphasize on giving practical exposures to our students and make them work on Live Projects with the corporate. To prove our stand, GJ-IMT students have emerged as winners in the "Go A-Live Challenge Contest" conducted by Microsoft.

To enable students to apply the concepts that they learn during the course in real-life scenarios,, workshops are conducted regularly. To coverup the gap between the academic and the real industrial world, regular interactions with professionals from industry are organized for the students and thus students are made aware of the industry expectations and standards and are geared to meet these challenges.

GJ-IMT endeavors to make the life of its students enjoyable, pleasant and unforgettable. It makes regular efforts to organize cultural, co-curricular and extra curricular activities to groom its students in a perfect all-round personality.

GJ-IMT provides a common platform for professional experts from the corporate world, researchers and academicians to converge and address the students about the latest research & developments in the field of Information Technology, which caters for the enhancement of the practical knowledge and application skills of the students.

Creative minds need to be given a chance to express their thoughts. To ensure that our students are using creative talents to the best of their ability, we publish the students newsletter and magazine. The issue covers the various happenings in students life at GJ-IMT. This gives them an opportunity to display their innovative thoughts through articles, stories, poems, cartoons, etc.

GJ-IMT encourages its students to participate in social and charity ventures. GJ-IMT students organised a Blood Donation Camp. It also has a Rotract Club which keeps on conducting educative skits, thereby creating awareness for uneducated poor people. Students have also contribute to Prime Minister Relief Fund for victims National tragedies.

Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions has taken a lead to set up “Entrepreunership Development Incubation Centre”. The main motive of the incubation centre is to encourage students with an Entrepreneurial bent of mind. This step would not only help the overall development of students but also the need of the hour is to convert the budding youth professionals to “Young Entrepreneurs” and GJ-IMT’s effort will be helpful to fulfill their dreams.

GJ-IMT has international collaborations and has signed MOU’s with leading universities and colleges from Canada and New Zealand for student and faculty exchange and also for providing lucrative career opportunities to the students.

Well stocked with 8944 titles and 12339 Volumes, the library is centrally air-conditioned. 200 journals and 41 periodicals apart from all the leading dailies makes the library a bulwark of learning. GJ-IMT is also partnering in the development of universal Digital library and is a member of DELNET (Digital Library network).

Centrally air-conditioned and equiped with the state-of-the-art Audio-Video and Projection technology the auditorium has a seating capacity of 200. An integral part of the development process at GJ-IMT students are encouraged to deliver presentations, stage plays, conduct quizzes etc. At GJ-IMT, the stage is more of a learning platform.

Cisco and Microsoft certified labs with 400 PCs supporting the state-of-the-art configurations. Fully air-conditioned with ergonomically designed seating and a 2mbps leased line. The computer labs at GJ-IMT are one of the most comprehensive software labs in the region.

A well furnished conference platform equipped with state of the projection facilities and public adress system. The syndicate room is a room of activities like seminars, group discussions and case analysis.

Institute has well equipped cafeteria that is managed

by the professionals. It not only provides students

with wide range of hygienic snacks and meals but also

a great environment for their leisure time

At GJ-IMT, sports activities are encouraged on campus. Institute has its own playgrounds and indoor facilities that includes a Gymnasium Hall equipped with modern fitness equipment to keep oneself fit and fine.

GJ-IMT Campus at Mohali is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The entire campus is e-enabled as the classrooms & the library have PCs with high speed internet connectivity. Since preparing to work in the information age, all MBA students process laptops.

GJ-IMT provides separate accommodation for girl and boy

students. The hostel for girl students is located within the

campus, whereas the accommodation arrangement for

boys is at a walking distance from the institute. Healthy and

hygienic food is provided to the students along with the

facilities for a comfortable stay to ensure a conducive

environment for studies and development.

GJ-IMT is pioneer in bringing international exposure of

live projects for IT students. We initiated a consultancy

cell for doing IT projects for both domestic and

international clients where student work under the

mentorship of experienced faculty to develop and design

software and websites as per industry requirement.

Students get placed before completing their program and

the credit goes to Industry which works in close

coordination with Placement Office to visit campus for

recruitment drives and hire students for working them as

IT professionals. Our recruiters are the best pay masters

and most reputed names in IT. They have acknowledged

the quality of IT professionals resourced by GJ-IMT

campus year by year.

We provide a continuos soft skill development program to

the students and develop them as a complete professional.

An integrated soft skill session throughout the program is

integrated to their course having workshops and seminars

for the students to attend, participate and learn. A
