MC Tech Alliance Call – June, 2012

1. QR Codes- Linking prospects from offline sources to online sources and monitoring traffic.

2. Quick Tips for KW Listings on syndication sites.

3. Tips for managing and maintaining local machines for best use of KW tech suite.

1. Define the audience and goals

2. Add page URL to Google Analytics

3. Place analytics-specific URL in to Tiny URL builder

4. Insert Tiny URL into QR generator

5. Customize QR Code- graphics, logos, etc…

6. Determine call to action

7. Monitor effectiveness of campaign in Google analytics

In order to effectively gauge the return on investment with our marketing efforts, it’s important to consider and define the following-

• Who is the audience? 1st time home buyer? Farm area? Specific niche?

Once the audience is defined, the next step is to determine placement-

Listing flyer? Post card or other printer collateral Business card?

Once the placement of your QR code has been determined, the steps outlined in this presentation can be followed to create a specific QR code and track the response using Google Analytics and an abbreviated URL.

1.) Preview the page you wish to link

to.

2. Use the Google Analytics

URL Builder to name your

campaign and create a unique

tracking ID for the specific page.

This is an example of the page address with the specific tracking ID - http://colin-chisholm.yourkwagent.com/atj/user/AdditionalGetAction.do?pageId=165709&utm_source=Listing%2BFlyer&utm_medium=QR%2BCode&utm_campaign=123%2BMain%2B%237

3.) Enter your new URL into the URL abbreviation

site and make note of the “tiny

URL”

*Tip – you can also use your tiny URL for online postings but make sure this is

consistent with your campaign goals.

4.) Visit http://www.unitaglive.com/qrcode

to generate your customized

QR code.

1. Check your app store for a “QR Code Reader” and install the one you prefer.

2.) Using the QR reader app, scan the QR Code and verifiy

it’s going to the page you want.

For this demonstration, the QR Code has been uploaded as the “marketing image”

in eEdge.A single flyer for a specific listing would

be another great place to link passers-by to interior photos and other helpful

details.

In your Google Analytics account, locate the specific

campaign name under “Traffic

Sources” > “All traffic”

Use Photoshop or other image editing software to place a banner over some or all of your listings in the KWLS. This banner should include your contact info.

Snap a screenshot of your website banner or eEdge logos and contact info; upload this with your listing photos.

*Make sure the contact-info image is not the 1st one on your listing as this will not provide an image of the home which prospects are wanting to see. This image would be best as the last photo in the slide show.

Make sure your contact info is easily seen in the property description.

Make sure all browsers are updated to current versions

Keep cached browser files cleared out

Make sure Java is up to date on supported machines.

Make sure copier/scanner/fax machines are configured with an actual email address.
