using this mountainboard should be supervised by adults.
The use of protective equipment at all times when riding a
mountainboard is essential. Protective equipment includes
but is not limited to the following items: helmet, protective

terrain, riding surface, rocks, trees, all forms of natural and
man-made obstacles, collisions with equipment, obstacles or
other trail users, and equipment failure.
Purchasers and users of this mountainboard are advised that
speed is to be controlled primarily by tire pressure and
turning. Built-in braking systems should never be relied
upon as the only method for speed control and/or stopping.
Refer to the "Ride Guide" manual enclosed for an explanation
on proper turning, speed control, and stopping techniques.
Due to the inherently risky nature of mountainboarding, the
manufacturers, sellers, and distributors of this product
assume no responsibility for damage or injury which may be
caused by the use of this mountainboard caused by accident,

ASSEMBLY
Note: Wheels come pre-assembled on most boards. If your board is
not assembled follow these instructions. Wear safety glasses while
installing wheels.
1. Remove axle nut from axle. 2. Slide wheel onto axle (valve stem pointing outward).
3. Tighten axle nut clockwise onto axle until it stops.
4. Loosen axle nut 1/2 turn so that wheel spins freely.
5. Confirm that axle threads fully engage axle nut's nylon insert.
6. Repeat step 1 - 5 to install remaining wheels.
1. Deflate tire

1. Many levels of resistance can be achieved through compressing the spring
by varying degrees.
2. Easiest resistance settings are for quicker carve or for lighter weight riders.
3. Hardest resistance settings are for higher speeds and heavier weight riders.
5. Replace washer and tophat.

TECH TIPS Q&A
Q: I found that my T-nut started to spin when I tried to remove my FreeFlex bindings from my board. What should I do? A: The best way to prevent a FreeFlex T-nut from spinning is to prevent the FreeFlex post from spinning. Do this by holding the FreeFlex post in place using a 6mm hex key while you loosen your FreeFlex lock nut. Once you have broken your lock nut loose, proceed to unscrew the FreeFlex post from the T-nut.
Q: What can I do about a flat tire on my mountainboard? A: The easiest thing to do is to buy a new tube and install it as per instructions on page 3. As well you can patch any holes in your tube with a standard bicycle tube repair kit.
Q: My spring and tophat popped out while riding. What can I do? A: To prevent this in the future always tighten hardware before and after each ride. For now you can purchase an MBS Save-A-Ride kit which contains the replacement parts you will need.
Q: I don’t feel like I am fully in my bindings. What can I do? A: Your bindings probably aren’t adjusted correctly. Try undoing strap completely, stepping into binding with even toe and heel overhang, and then place straps back over the top of your foot. Make sure to use proper footwear and tighten shoelaces to ensure a snug fit.
Q: My board feels like it wants to steer to one side when I just want to go straight. What is the deal? A: Check to see if one of your springs is overcompressed (i.e. coil spacing less than than normal). If so, replace the overcompressed spring. For optimum performance, MBS suggests replacing all four springs in an event such as this.
Q: I’m having difficulty screwing the adjustment screw into the new spring position. The threads don’t seem to catch. A: Try screwing the adjustment screw up through the bottom surface of the top truck.

MAINTENANCE CHECK LIST
Check the items on the following list before and after each ride. -Axle nuts - Check that axle nuts are neither too tight nor too loose. Wheel should spin freely, but without any side to side movement. Nylon insert must fully engage the axle threads. -Hub bolts - Check that all hub bolts are tight. -Tires - Check for wear and tear. Replace bald tires. -Tubes - Check that all tires are at even and appropriate psi. -Bearings - Remove dirt. Replace bearings if they do not spin freely. -Top Hat Hardware - Check that all top hat bolts are tight. -Springs - Check for over-compressed springs. Replace if necessary. -Deck bolts and nuts - Tighten all four bolts. -Kingpin - Lubricate kingpin after each ride with bicycle chain oil. -Kingpin nut - Check that kingpin nut is neither too tight nor too loose. A tight kingpin will not allow the deck to return to a level resting position. A loose kingpin will rattle or click when weight is applied to the deck. -Grip Tape - Clean with scrubbing brush after each ride. Replace worn grip tape. -Bindings - Tighten all nuts and bolts. -Clean and wipe board dry after each ride.
After checking all criteria above, perform the following drop test. Drop board flat onto all four wheels from a height of 1 foot (30cm). Tighten any hardware that rattles. Repeat this test until your board bounces without a rattle.
