    September 2010 marked the opening o DeGrootes new Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington, Ontario. This state-

    experience during your MBA. With the diering needs o our students and actors that play a part in making

    this decision we cannot provide one recommendation which will be ideal or all. That being said we can provide

    1. DeGroote is providing a ree shuttle bus which

    will allow students to live in Hamilton or Toronto

    and commute to Burlington via pick-up on themain McMaster University campus and the

    The Academic Integrity Policy explains the

    expectations the University has o its scholars.

    Breaching academic integrity is ultimately destructive

    o the values o the University. Furthermore, it is

    unair and discouraging to those students who pursue

    their studies with integrity.

    Academic dishonesty consists o misrepresentation

    by deception or by other raudulent means. In an

    academic setting this may take any number o

    orms, such as copying or the use o unauthorizedaids in tests, examinations, and laboratory reports;

    plagiarism, which is the submission o work that is

    not ones own, or or which previous credit has been

    obtained, unless the previously submitted work has

    been presented as such to the instructor o that

    course and has been acceptable or credit by the

    instructor o that course; improper collaboration o

    group work; aiding and abetting another students

    dishonesty; giving alse inormation or the purpose o

    gaining admission or credits; giving alse inormation

    or the purposes o obtaining deerred examinations

    Congratulations on being admitted to DeGrootes MBA program!

    The DeGroote MBA program will oer you a well-rounded experience and equip you with the tools necessary to

    student body organization comprised o all DeGroote

    MBA students. Within the larger DeGroote MBA

    Haskayne 24 Hour Case Competition is a 3-day event

    that challenges teams rom leading Canadian MBA

    Schools to put their creative and analytical skills to

    the test by analyzing real problems and delivering real

    solutions.

    MBA Gam

    The MBA Games bring together students rom most

    MBA programs in Canada to compete in academic,

    athletic, and spirit events every January. Hosted by

    business schools across the country, this competition

    assembles the leaders o tomorrow to deend the

    honour and reputation o their universities with the

    goal o obtaining the prestigious Queens Cup.

    The TATA Cup is sponsored by TATA consultancy

    services. The competition is a one-day event hostedat a Canadian university. The competition ocus is on

    sustainable business practices and CSR strategies to

    maintain protability. The competition is by invitation

    only and pits MBA students rom top Canadian

    business schools against each other.

    This is not your average case competition as several

    groups and Universities have come together tocreate a three-old competition as part o the HEC

    SUSTAINABILITY WEEKEND. To go along with the

    annual Beyond CSR conerence that HEC co-hosts

    with McGill, they have designed a case competition, a

    business plan presentation competition, and a debate

    competition all centered on sustainability.

    To prepare DeGroote students for Case Competitions,

    we are launching new initiatives that will train andequip students to not only perform to the best of their

    abilities in these competitions, but to win and make

    DeGroote proud.

    Focus Business Consulting (FBC) oers a diverse set o

    consulting service solutions, specializing in strategy

    development and execution, business planning, and

    marketing services to companies o all sizes. Partnered

    with the DeGroote School o Business, FBC has access

    MBA graduates Michael Brown and Tal Dehtiar,

    MBAs Without Borders provides both MBA students

    and graduates o our program with the opportunity to

    The Volunteer Internship Program (VIP) is intended to

    assist McMaster University students interested inobtaining practical trading skills. This is a work-at-your-

    own pace program, with software manuals available

    for study, as well as personal guidance provided by the

    employees of the Gould Trading Floor (GTF).

    Floor supervisors play the role o mentor, and work

    personally with students in the program to help them

    with the learning process. Students who complete 20

    hours o training under supervision become eligible to

    apply or employment with the GTF. This requirement

    is designed to uphold the highest standards withregards to employee know-how and amiliarity with

    the acility.
