The school follows a house system wherein students from classes IV to XII are allotted houses
that are named after great leaders and visionaries, whose insight and virtues are benchmarks
of commitment, selfless dedication and success. Qualities of leadership, team-work, zeal and
enthusiasm are fostered through this system.
This system gives students ample opportunities to interact with other students via Inter-House
Competitions, class assemblies and different cultural programmes. The exercise aims to
promote a harmonious growth and exchange of ideas in a competitive learning environment.
House system is a service-cum-training body. Its objectives are:
To promote the welfare of students.
To promote better student-teacher relationship.
To impact citizenship training.
To encourage self-discipline.
To arouse greater school spirit.
The four school houses are as under:
Vivekananda (Green): The green colour promotes eco-friendly attitude and the urgency
to preserve and conserve our Environment and Natural Resources.
Gandhi (Off white): The frothy, off white waves of gigantic oceans symbolize the insatiable
thirst for knowledge.
Tagore (Blue): The blue colour depicts absolute freedom from the shackles of rigidity and
over all development.
Nehru (Red): The red colour symbolizes the concept of Universal Consciousness and
Universal Brotherhood.
Each house is headed by a Sr. House in Charge (a mentor), Jr. House in Charge (a mentor),
a House Captain (a student) and a Vice Captain (a student).

PRAYERS
SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS
There shall be showers of blessings:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the saviour above.
Refrain:
Showers of blessings,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling
But for the showers we plead.
There shall be showers of blessings:
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
There shall be showers of blessings;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honour thy word.
There shall be showers of blessings:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
There shall be showers of blessings:
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing
If we let God have His way.
To my country and my people, I
pledge my devotion.
In their wellbeing and
prosperity lies my happiness.
GIVE ME OIL IN MY LAMP
Give me oil in my lamp keep me burning,
Give me oil in my lamp, I pray,
Give me oil in my lamp keep me burning,
Keep me burning till the break of the day.
Refrain
Come on and sing hosanna,
sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings
Sing hosanna, sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings.
Give me peace in my heart, keep me smiling,
Give me peace in my heart, I pray
Give me peace in my heart, keep me smiling,
Keep me smiling till the break of the day.
Come on and sing hosanna, sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings,
Sing hosanna, sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings.
Give me power in my mind, keep me working,
Give me power in my mind, I pray,
Give me power in my mind, keep me working,
Keep me working till the break of the day.
Come on and sing hosanna, sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings,
Sing hosanna, sing hosanna,
Sing hosanna to the King of Kings.
