- Provide a contact number to the Tax Aide team and plan to return
within 7 days to pick up return

OUTDOOR PATIO CLASSES: April 19th - June 11th Monday 9:30 -10:15 :Seated Stretch-ing/Low Impact w/Barbara Zinman Seated exercise/Low impact exercise with light weights/exercise bands Must bring your own weights. Bands provid-ed.
Tuesday 1:30 -2:30 Tai Chi/Yang 24 Style Forms w/Glenn Eisen Tai Chi improves the whole person and enhanc-es the balance between all parts of the body’s systems. Following correct movements will significantly enhance overall well-being and address many health related aging issues of older adults.
Wed. 1:30-2:30 Barre Strength & Balance w/Paige Brodsky A mild, complete body workout using barre ex-ercises to focus on strengthening and stretching while standing. A chair can be used for balance.
Thurs. 9:30 -10:30 Qi Gong w/Jian Yan-Rong QiGong can be descr ibed as Energy (chee) and gentle body movement (gong) for healing the body, mind and emotions. Benefits in-clude improved energy and agility, stress reduction, increased concentra-tion, reduced neck and body pain along a rejuvenated mind, body and spirit. 4 Friday @11:30 -12:30 Walk & Stretch at Hart’s Brook Park & Pre-serve w/Paige Brodsky Walk on one of the trails. Stretching with exercise bands (provided) on the lawn area. Trails are slightly uneven. Wear comfortable shoes.

Weekly Patio Table Schedule: Good news! Card tables will be available on the patio for playing cards and Mah Jongg on a first come, first served basis. Limit 4 per table. Monday: 1:30 -4:30 pm Tuesday: no tables Wednesday: 9:30 am -12:30 pm: (no tables on 4/28) Thursday: 11:30 am -3:30 pm: (no tables on 5/20) Friday: 1:00 – 4:30 pm **A current unicard will be required to use the patio. Great way to show-off your knowledge of arts and entertain-ment, music, history, and other challenging categories! He’s got the questions - you just bring the right answers! From Water to Land to Skyscrap-ers: An Environmental History of New York City”: Mon. May 17th: 2:30 - 3:30pm In the past 400 years, the island of Manhattan has grown by 20 per cent-not the population, but the actual land-mass itself. There is significantly more of Manhattan than when the first Euro-pean colonists arrived in 1624. Today’s iconic skyline was built, in part, on land created from rubble, trash, and even excrement. How and why did this happen?

Big Onion Tours Continued: “From Slavery to Freedom, Black History in Manhattan 1625-1860” Wed. June 16th: 12:30 –1:30 pm A virtual presentation exploring two centuries of Black history in Manhattan. Starting with the first slaves arriving in 1626, our eight “stop” exploration will travel throughout time and space to discuss the fights for freedom. Compare the differences be-tween Dutch, British, and American slavery; the early anti-slavery efforts and some stops on the Underground Railroad; as well as the stories of William Henry Lane, Sojourner Truth, and the founding & early history of Abyssinian Baptist Church. “Susan Sez” Virtual Tours: “How the Other Half Lives:” Wed. June 2nd: 12:30 pm Virtual presentation of the Jewish mov-ers and shakers of finance, commerce, and retail who lived on the Upper East Side, once known as the “Gold Coast.” Learn who they were, how they made their fortunes, where they lived and more. Program will begin by discussing Tem-ple Emanu-El, the 150 year old Reform Jewish Congregation on 65 St and 5th Avenue with many well known and wealthy congregants. View the Jewish Museum on 92 St and 5th Ave, the for-mer Warburg Mansion - a fantastic example of how the other half lived. On the virtual stroll, hear about the families who called this area home, their lifestyle, their elaborate man-sions and apartments, their philan-thropic interests and more.

In honor of The Met’s 150th birthday, Sue will discuss the histo-ry of the museum, featuring its archi-tecture, its several expansions over the years, and the many wonderful departments and galleries. View the Cloisters and its new features like the Roof Garden installations and Main Hall murals. “50 Best Paintings in NY City Wed. June 9th . 12:30 – 2:00pm Everyone knows that New York City is home to many of the greatest paintings in the world....but what are the best of the best? This (opinionated) lecture takes you on a visual journey through many museums and other venues to see the paintings most experts consider among the finest works of art ever created! REFUND POLICY: Refunds for virtual programs will not be granted unless the spot filled from the wait-ing list. If spot is filled, $10 or 10% of the program fee (whichever is higher) will be charged for processing refund. Full refunds for a medical reason will be granted before the pro-gram with doctor’s note. Refunds are issued at the end of each month.
