What is Dungeons and Randomness?

Dungeons and Randomness is an improvised Dungeons and andDragons live play podcast. With a cast of well over twenty podcasters andover a hundred characters, it is safe to say D&R D&R is one of the largest

publicly-available D&D games in the in the world, as well as beingthe #1 rated Dungeons and Dragons related podcast on iTunes and weplan to continue growing and exploring for a long time to come!

One of the aspects that makes our show different from others like itis our dedication to the story. Many other D&D podcasts are at least mostly humor, while Dungeons and Randomness tries to keep the main focus on the epic fantasy tale we are attempting to tell, though with a few professional comedians involved there is certainly humor to be had.

We believe our show is made up of what we believe to be thecombination of improv and storytelling.

In Theria every action has a consequence and every player choice impacts the world in a very real andmeaningful way. Characters have the options to live, fall in love, fight for what they believe is right, makefriends, make enemies, and die and those choices live on long after they are gone. In the show wars have beenfought and dragons ridden, blood spilled by trusted allies and friends made from former enemies.

The world is vast and diverse, with all the good and bad to come of that. While there are places where peace isengrained into the very fiber of the civilization, another village not far off could have a malicious cartelenslaving innocent people. There is an insane amount of content and story involved, and the best part about it isthat nothing is confined. Dungeons and Randomness is made up of what we believe to be the perfectcombination of improv and storytelling.

Currently, we run four groups of 5-6 players each, along with onespin-off show titled “Good Morning Theria” which involves nogame play but has more of a talk-show format. There is also arelated show produced monthly entitled “Living in Theria” inwhich the Dungeon Master gives an in-depth view of certainaspects of the world, and we also have a private monthly seminarteaching others how to host their own D&D games and tellequally compelling stories.

Furthermore, we update a bi-weekly audio newsletter which isavailable to our patrons on patreon.com. Obviously that all keepsus quite busy, but it also means that we have a verity of platformswhere we will be marketing your product!

Community.

Of all of the things that Dungeons and Randomness has created, our community is our pride and joy. When the podcast began, wenever expected to create such a large, diverse and activecommunity of listeners.

The listeners are central to the success of any media outlet. Our showhas been embraced for its inclusive nature and our firm anti-harassment stance, as well as for playing a game which has delightedpeople of all ages for decades. Our fans cover all walks of life. We'veexchanged emails with people as young as fourteen and as old assixty, and our fanbase seems to be split right down the middle ingender as well.

The Market Exists.

There is a very real market in the geek community that is being reachedthrough our show. According to a segment Business Insider ran last year,'geeks' openly admitted to spending upwards of ten thousand dollars a year ontheir hobbies, if not more. As geeks ourselves, we can attest this to be true.

Comic book movies are dominating the film industry, and nostalgia is a booming market. If there is anythingparamount to the “True Geek Experience”, it is most certainly the nostalgia of a tabletop role-playing game, particularly Dungeons and Dragons. D&D is the best known and best selling table top role-playing gamecurrently in existence with an estimated 20 million people having played the game and the sales for the corerulebooks alone amount to more than one billion in just the United States.

Meanwhile, podcasts are huge. Being audio-only, they have a measure of convenience over other mediaforms. You can listen to them anywhere, some of our listeners have even told us they listened to us whiledeployed overseas!

When we had our Kickstarter in August 2014, we raised over twenty-five thousand dollars, 129% of our goalin the month in which we ran. Since then, our total hits have only continued growing. We would love to shareyour product with that active fanbase.

gotten over 219 Thousand listeners to the show, while for all timewe've totaled at over 3 Million.

And it only continues to rise.

What Can D&R Offer You?

On the following page you will be able to view our tiers of sponsorshipoptions. The most notable of these are the commercial spots on ourpodcast episodes. We have promised Monday content every week, thoughwe always do our best to put out twelve episodes a month.

When a sponsor signs on, we will either play your own prerecordedsegment or have the members of the cast speak about your productourselves. We offer either fifteen-second or thirty-second spots, with theoption to have them run every episode or once a month.

Signing on to any of the tiers also means you will have a shout-out on ourFacebook page- which at the time of writing has nearly nine thousandlikes- and banner space on our website.

The tiers can be purchased on a month-to-month basis, which is usuallybest for things like events and special occasions, or at a cheaper rate forsix or twelve month subscriptions.
