WILLIAMS LAKE SALE—APRIL 24, 2014 Again Williams Lake records another record volume of cattle with 1300 head on offer at their Thursday April 24th sale. The Gang Ranch had butcher bulls today at 124.25. Ron & Venice Copper had 1940 lb. butcher bulls to 128.25. John Bentley had 1500 lb. butcher cows to 102.25. Randall Thiessen had 1230 lb. cows to 105.50. Tom & Linda Hancock had 1505 lb. butcher cows mark 105.75. Canyon Enterprises good heavy 1498 lb. butcher cows notched 104.25. The Gardner Ranch 2018lb. Butcher bulls powered to 124.75. Springfield Ranch’s 1013 lb. heiferettes hit 129.25. Scott & Janice Meyer’s 1615 lb. kill cows topped 106.25. A tremendous run of grasser and feeder cattle today. Stew and Jen Roberts 567 lb. heifers rolled to 208.00. Stirrup Ranch’s fancy 691 lb. Black steers reached 204.00. Dave Taylor came to town with a r ippin group of 800 lb. Black heifer s reaching 162.50. Crystal Creek Land & Cattle’s 625 lb. Red baldy heifers sold to 190.50. Tom & Linda Hancock’s 651 lb. Angus h/c brought 190.50. Larry & Bev Ramstad had 725 lb. Black Angus s/c race to 196.00. Doug Glassford 648 lb. Black Angus s/c powered to 214.75. The Springfield Ranch top quality 662 lb. Hereford heifers marked 176.00 today. A pen of their 671 lb. heifers hit 179.50. Some powerful cow/calf pairs today. Rob & Lorne Herrick saw their Red Blaze face cows with Charolais calves at foot trade to 2250.00. Dunlevy Ranch’s 548 lb. Angus heifers sold to 206.50. John Wynnyk with a top pen of 676 lb. steers saw 210.00. The Gang Ranch with a fancy pen of 27 Black Angus h/c’s 656 lb. they trad-ed to 211.50. 37 head of their 504 lb. h/c’s marked 219.00. Lloyd & Lesley Heidel had 589 lb. Char cross steers top 224.25. Don Chambers 19 head of 616 lb. steers rolled to 226.00.

KAMLOOPS SALE—TUESDAY APRIL 29, 2014 Another good sale here in Kamloops as a good mix of butcher cattle and

yearlings were on offer with 350 head. Ken Filmore from Westbridge put

the lights on our butcher trade with 2395 lb. butcher bulls at 126.50. The

Stump Lake Ranch had butcher cows at 102.00. The Powder Canyon

Ranch had 1400 lb. butcher cows to 99.75. Russell Abel had 1425 lb.

cows mark 99.50. Doreen & Leslie Harry from Merritt set the pace for the

feeder cattle with 800 lb. steers marking 186.00 or 1488.00. Robert Pooli

1528 lb. cows topped 108.25. Ken & Liz Allen with 1175 lb. cows mark-

ing 105.75. Big Rock Farms from Celista showcased one of the nicest

pens of calves today. Their 590 lb. Black Angus s/c marked 220.00, their

heavier 676 lb. steers saw 205.50, their 555 lb. heifers notched 193.00.

The Triple W Ranch 674 lb. replacement quality heifers hit 178.75. Leroy

& Bernadine Peters with 830 lb. Black Angus replacement heifers.

They raced to 171.00, their 701 lb. heifers notched 177.00. The Turner

Ranch 568 lb. Black Angus s/c saw 234.00. Tom & Linda Hancock’s

594 lb. Black steers hit 232.25 the 800 lb. steers sold to 181.50, their 960

lb. steers sold to 160.00.

VANDERHOOF SALE APRIL 25TH

1100 head of cattle rolled through the yards in Vanderhoof on Friday.

Marten & Linda Dykens from Telkwa sold 817 lb. steers at 176.50,

and 875 lb. steers at 169.00 even. 822 lb. heifers at 162.50 with 783 lb.

heifers at 148.00. Guy Bambauer sold 533 lb. steers for 225.00 even and

736 lb. heifers for 162.50. Knapper Creek Ranch sold some fancy 806 lb.

Angus X steers for 181.50 along with Carl’s 758 lb. heifers at 164.25. Rim

Rock Ranch / Jim & Lyla Brophy rock the place with 570 lb. Angus X

steers selling for 230.00, and 454 lb. sold for 219.00. Gordon Parr sold

531 lb. heifers for 193.75. Jerry Petersen sold 560 lb. heifers at 201.00.

Walter Cool sold 593 lb. steers for 224.00 and 465 lb. steers at 225.00.

Gordy & Joyce Dickson sold their 483 lb. Angus X steers for 230.50.

Lance Muehlan sold 623 lb. Angus heifers for 194.00 even. Erich

Neumeister sold 604 lb. Angus X heifers at 200.00. In the cow division

Vala Farms sold 1266 lb. for 114.75. A 1875 lb. bull sold for 126.00

even. Tony Zimmerchuk from Burns Lake sold 2980 lb. Angus bull for

89.75. Jeff Johnson from Johnson Farms sold 1162 lb. Angus X cows

for 106.00.

Al’s next sale we have 50 cow/calf pairs on paper and 250 head of regular

cattle for the May 9th sale.
