This will start with this Thursday’s council meeting and next month’s officer’s meeting and next month’s council meeting. Our “Second Annual Pig Roast” is fast approaching. KAREN FRASCA, PRESIDENT OF THE COLUMBIETTES,

April has been a busy month for us. We installed 4 new members at a first degree ceremony on April 22nd .

To date we have 6 new members to welcome into our auxiliary. May will be just as busy. We will be selecting a

slate of new officers, and hold a Crowning of The Blessed Virgin at our next meeting scheduled for May 22nd.

Please do not forget the “Second Annual Pig Roast” to be held on May 26th beginning at noon. Knights need

our help for the set-up, serving the meal and desserts, and clean up. Please come join us! It is a lot of fun and a

great way to spend Memorial Day!

The installation of officers will be held on June 8th in Church at 12 p.m., and immediately following a dinner

will be held from 2-6 p.m. at the P.G.A. Country Club in St. Lucie West. Tickets will be available at the May

22nd meeting. I will also have tickets available for the Pig Roast.

I look forward to seeing you at the meeting this Thursday evening, and at the Pig Roast on the Memorial Day

    holiday.

    God Bless

    Sincerely,

    Karen

    INSURANCE COVERAGE

Cover two people with one policy

In this month’s article, I want to discuss a type of life insurance product with which you might not be familiar. This

product offers a way for you to help your heirs meet estate settlement costs without subtracting from the total value of

your estate. After all, you’ve worked hard to accumulate wealth or build a business over the years and you want to pass

along that value to your family, charity or church in its entirety.

To this end, the Knights of Columbus designed a Survivorship Universal Life (SUL) product. SUL is a second to die,

or survivorship, life insurance program that covers two people, (usually husband and wife) and the death benefit is paid

upon the death of the surviving second person — which is normally when an estate would be taxed. This can be an

important part of an estate plan.

Keep in mind, an SUL policy is one policy that covers two people. This has advantages, including a lower cost than

two individual life insurance policies. It is a great option for a married couple with children. It can provide funds for the

legal guardians chosen to care for children in the event both parents die, which is especially attractive to parents of a

    special needs child.

If you have a child or children, you need life insurance. If you intend to pass on any property or wealth, you need life

insurance. A SUL policy is one option that we can discuss when we meet for an insurance review.

Knights of Columbus “FUN FUND RAISERS”:

!!!!!!!!!! FLASH!!!!!!!!!! >>>>>>>> CRUISE PRICES REDUCED

  • 10

Editor’s Corner Brothers and Sisters, I’m looking forward the “Second Annual Pig Roast”. Who knew it would be such a big success. The food, the friends, and all around good time, let the Knights, and Columbiettes show their spirit by putting on a great bash. The festivities raise funds by providing a good time. Those funds go towards all of the charitable endeavors that our organizations work to provide to those in need. You can buy the tickets at the back of Church on Saturday and Sunday. Just $10.00 per person for roast pig, brisket, smoked shoulder, beans, cold slaw, soda, water, and dessert. It’s a great deal for all that. Join us, and maybe I will take your picture while you enjoy the good food. We will have plenty of photos to show you in our next edition. Soon, some of us will be traveling to who knows where. Please be careful out there ,and enjoy your summer whether you travel or not. Take the time to see some friends, see something new, and remember God will be with you. After that, come home to your friends renewed and refreshed. Yours in Christ,

    Brother Tony Frasca
