May Newsletter Atchley Fields Shelden Tronnier Next Week ’ s LifeSkill: “ caring ” To feel and show concern for others. Greetings! It is hard to believe that the end of the year is upon us. We have had a year filled with growing and learning. One of the most important things you can do as a parent over the summer is to keep your child reading, writing and engaging in math every day. Both public libraries have awesome summer reading programs. This is a fun and inexpensive way to keep your child excited about reading and to find books on their reading level. For writing you can have them write grocery lists, letters to grandparents or friends, make signs or do a nightly journal about what they did during the day.
